Summary
There are only two kinds of people in Stelladigmata: Those who abuse and those who are abused. In the way, the Watcher Party has finally achieved a true meritocracy in the sunken city.
The underground is filled with parties who all serve their own interests. Hansa, the merchant's guild looking to line their pockets by opening up government infrastructure to the free market, Vi'harmadar, the militarized rebel group attempting to overthrow the Watcher rule, the Church of the Void, a fast-growing religion with allegiances to the recently de-throned Voidwalker family, and the Grand Library, always on the side of whoever last threatened them with arson, carefully rearranging history each time the scales of power shift.
There are no saints in Stelladigmata – the ones who claim to be all have fake teeth and something to sell. Can a young, inexperienced Watcher investigator sew unity in the underground or will he be ground up and spat out by the machine like everyone before him?
