She was going to be sick. Hermione couldn’t quite comprehend the headline adorning The Daily Prophet this morning. Maybe it was her over tired brain. She did just give birth for the second time less than a week ago and she was beyond exhausted from night time feedings and having to make sure Rose wasn’t feeling less loved after the arrival of her baby brother.
Ron had been practically absent throughout not only most of her second pregnancy but had almost missed the birth of their son. Now, Hermione surmised why. She read the headline again.

In the ensuing years, he did not need to constantly remember that blissful, impossible dream. He further did not need Potter bursting into his mostly turned-around life to embroil him in a conspiracy at Azkaban. And he definitely did not need to embark on a clandestine investigation into prisoner mistreatment with Hermione Granger.

Six years after the war ended, the wizarding world looks much different than it did before. Old enemies have been forgiven, new alliances have been made, and unlikely friendships have formed. Auror partners Harry and Draco, and Ron and Theo, are given a new case; mysterious murders of Muggles by magic. Hermione, who works in the Muggle Liaison Office, joins the investigation. Working with her best friends should be fun, not awkward. But an innocent hookup at one of their weekly Friday night parties might spice things up a bit.
