Ace seemed to sink into himself at her tone. “If you don’t want to go with me-”
“No! No. I-” Nancy didn’t want him to think she hated him, or didn’t trust him, or didn’t want to be around him. She had just told him a couple hours earlier that she still wanted to be his friend. She had no reason not to go with him besides how much being in a car with him made her think of the forecast and how much she’d want to hold his hand over the console. “Let’s do it.”

Man this is beyond beautiful and I immediately had to bookmark it. The descriptions are poetry, so delicate and so many figures that I'm certain it'll get better and better with each time I read this.
The beginning, the yearning in Fez's monologs are just so vivid it almost felt as if I was going through them, it made my heart ache. Each moment felt so incredibly meaningful that I was absorbing every single word, every action had so much meaning.
I absolutely love this story, truly one of my all time fexi stories! -

The thing about anchors is while you are given room to breathe, to move in life or in water, no matter what you are always, constantly, tethered to that anchor. OR childhood enemies, straight edge Betty Cooper and Serpent king Jughead Jones, are thrown into a night alone in a run down motel with nothing but their hatred and burdening memories to keep them warm.
