Summary
“He doesn’t sleep.” The sentence ripped out of Buck before he could stop it. Tears threatened to spill as he brought his hand up, waving it around like it could solve all his problems. Admitting to his failure made him feel like a monster. “We’ve tried melatonin, tea, extra bedtime stories, exercising— Nothing works. Nothing works and Eddie, I am so fucking tired.”
Pathetic. He was pathetic. Almost every new parent went through a phase where their kid barely slept. Everyone else could handle it, including Maddie and Chim, so why couldn’t he? How did they push through feeling so beyond sick, that left and right and up and down all looked the same?
Earlier, he swore he saw the version of Daniel he saw in his coma dream lurking behind him. Did they see ghosts too?
A soft thumb ran over his cheek. Buck couldn’t stop himself from leaning into it.
“Baby,” Eddie whispered, soft and oh-so-concerned. In no universe did Buck deserve him. “Why didn’t you tell me?”

Summary
18 months since the lawsuit ended. Everyone has finally forgiven Buck and is his friend again... Everyone except Eddie... Eddie pretends he doesn't exist. After an accident on the firehouse stairs, Buck very quickly learns that the best way for Eddie to acknowledge him is by getting injured. So... he takes matters into his own hands for Eddie's attention. Until it all starts getting a little out of control...

“Mr. Diaz!” The doctor said, holding her hand up as she stepped in front of him. “Mr. Buckley came in extremely confused. I know the restraints are upsetting–”
“Upsetting?” Eddie spat out, two seconds away from shoving her out of his way.
“—But they're for his and our safety.” The doctor was quick to finish as if Eddie hadn’t said anything.
“Your safety?” Eddie demanded. “He was just tied up by some psycho couple out in the desert and you’re concerned about your safety?”
Things don't go as smoothly at the hospital as they should.

Summary
Things are still raw after the lawsuit. Buck wants nothing more than to have Bobby be proud of him again. He gets the opportunity when a detective with the LAPD approaches him for a case. Only nothing Buck does seems to make Bobby happy. If anything Buck is afraid that he’s ruining his relationship with Bobby for good.
