Summary

Vanitas doesn't believe in love, not anymore. Becoming of age had been a blessing to him, allowing him to work as a stripper instead of scraping by on part time jobs and selling himself when needed. Even if his life was a nightmare, echoes of the past haunting him, he'd do anything to protect his younger brother from the harsh realities of the world. Yet when a charming young man walks into the club, more money than brains, he can't help but wonder if he'd been wrong all along. Maybe love wasn't a cold, impersonal business transaction, but a whirlwind of touches and glances, a dance that doesn't tire him and instead fills him with joy and meaning.

Oww, Peter thought blandly as he shifted- no, scratch that, tried to shift- onto his back but quickly decided that wasn’t in his best interest. Voices, both his own and not, swam in his head like a wave beating against his forehead.
“They’re coming here because of me, right? Because I’m Peter Parker? So cast a new spell, make everyone forget who Peter Parker is. Make everyone forget me.”
“It wouldn’t be enough. Your very presence would destabilize this universe.”
Peter finally managed to roll himself over onto his back, ignoring the sharp pain that shot through his spine at the movement enough to sit up and look around. He was in an alley which thankfully held no occupants save himself and the trash littering the ground.
“But I can… I can send you away. To a place where there is no Peter Parker. No Spiderman.”

Blood and wisterias.
Noé still remembered that moment years ago in the ruins of the cathedral, Louis’ blood splattered across the stone even as flowers mixed with the red. Teacher had said it meant he suffered from hanahaki, even if he had succumbed to the curse. That the flower matched the person they longed for, and in the case of vampires, matched the mark of the one they longed for.
The day Domi had asked him to mark her was the day Noé’s heart shattered once again, staring at horror as a wisteria bloomed on her neck.
He hadn’t been able to bear drinking from her in such a way again.
And now, as he stared at the blue petal of an anemone in his hand, specks of his own blood dotting his hand, he couldn’t help but think of that night he’d known deep down that Louis had died for him twice over, even if the second hadn’t had the chance to unfurl.
How fitting for him to die the same death he caused.
