And sometimes when he’s running around on all-fours, or holding his hands up like paws going woof, woof, woof, K will crouch down and reach his hand out, fingers pinched together like he’s holding something small, and touch them to Taki’s lips, saying, good boy, Taki, here’s a treat. K will ruffle his hair, and scratch behind his ears. Taki likes playing pretend. He likes being a wolf-pup. And he likes being K’s wolf-pup the best.

And that’s why, when his sophomore year of college came around, Jiseok decided to ditch his friends living on campus to move in with his great bandmate, Kim Jungsu, instead. A completely reasonable and intelligent decision. A hundred percent beneficial towards his engineering studies and band participation. Zero ulterior motives.
Seriously. Kwak Jiseok was an independent soul, and he didn’t care about crushes and flirting and butterflies in his stomach. And thankfully, he and Kim Jungsu had a perfectly normal relationship.

The funniest thing is that Sungho didn't feel like he was third-wheeling. For a while he never bothered to dissect that up until Jaehyun and Sanghyuk actually started dating, and then he just reasoned, It's because I've known them for so long. Turns out reasoning like that is sort of flawed once you make out with said close friends who are dating each other.

something ugly and hot curls in his belly and he wants to stop it, wants to pull away. he told himself he would, but they had never set any boundaries, no expectations. that was how things always were with them.
they always found ways to crawl under yudai’s skin and make him do things he wouldn't normally do. they made him forget he was supposed to the eldest, the trusted adult. he was supposed to be helping them. that's what they wanted, right?

fuma smirks, rubs his thumb along jo’s bottom lip, then lets go. jo blinks at him, heartbeat thundering in his ears.
“nah, he just had something on his mouth. use your napkin jo-chan,” he says, mockingly pitiful as he wrinkles his nose at the younger. jo just nods, and swipes at his mouth with his hand.
this placates yudai, who laughs and then goes on to bother euijoo to try the next dish they ordered.
“sorry,” jo mutters, and fuma ruffles his hair like he’s a little kid. his gaze has softened now, but his grip on jo is as tight as ever.
“fuma...”
the elder hums, and takes a sip from his water. “what is it?”
