Summary
“I’m straight, but--” Wei Ying hiccups, tracing Lan Zhan’s lip with the pads of his fingers. It’s so ridiculously soft, just damp enough for Wei Ying’s skin to slide on it without having to apply too much pressure. He hiccups again. “I’m not gay, pinky promise, Lan Zhan, but you’re so fucking pretty, always been pretty like a girl,” even prettier than any girl, really, but he doesn’t say that, and once again, too preoccupied with his mouth, Wei Ying misses the heartbreak in Lan Zhan’s gaze, the misery threatening to swallow him up. “I wanna kiss you again,” Wei Ying declares and without waiting for an answer, he pushes a stunned Lan Zhan back onto the mattress like he’s seen men do with women and climbs on top of him, hand sliding up his chest as he leans in again and kisses Lan Zhan with even more enthusiasm than before.
Maybe in this version, Icarus doesn’t burn; instead, he lets the Sun devour him.

Summary
While not having excessive experience with friendship, Lan Zhan has gathered enough from outside sources to construct a concept of it in his head. He has spent an inordinate amount of time trying to fit Wei Ying into the friendship category, but all his attempts were unsuccessful; no matter how hard Lan Zhan tries, how much he analyses and overanalyses their friendship, how much he extends the limits of friendship in his head, whatever the two of them have developed, it reaches beyond those limits.
Friends don’t call each other pet names in the tone Wei Ying does, friends don’t kiss each other’s cheek, forehead, neck or hand as tenderly as they do. Friends don’t say my Lan Zhan, with honey dripping from their lips. Of course, they are best friends, a label that’s bound to alter and expand the lines drawn around friendship, but Lan Zhan still does not understand. Which is the issue, as per usual. He does not understand what they really are. He’d be more than content with whatever little crumbs Wei Ying chose to give him, but Wei Ying keeps offering himself up on a plate, in a way he does not do with anyone else, and Lan Zhan does not understand the intention behind it.

Oh, if only you knew, you fool, he thinks to himself but instead of voicing it, Vegas clears his throat. “Pete’s—,” and fuck, his voice sounds wrecked, like he is the one with his throat full of cock, “Pete’s taking care of something around the house.”
Pete, the little shit, has the gall to chuckle between Vegas’ legs and Vegas just prays to every god out there that Kinn mistook his noise for the creak of a floorboard or the shuffle of Vegas’ shoes. Pete is nothing if not a little tease and Vegas likes to think he can anticipate his moves — therefore the collar and leash secured around his neck, the end of which is resting in Vegas’ grip.

Summary
That look, it's that look again, playing on Vegas' features. The one he wore after the first time they slept together; fascinated like he can't quite believe Pete is real. It's now laced with burning devotion and a pang of constant hunger. Pete wants to drown in it. The initial spark of fear -- of the unknown, new feeling brewing in him, of finally being seen and accepted, of finding his match, it's gone now. Pete reached into his chest and wrenched it all out, replaced it with all of himself. Filled the hollow parts with everything Vegas needed and craved; made Vegas whole again by taking him apart into little pieces and injecting himself into every part of Vegas.

The reflection staring Wei Wuxian in the mirror was Lan Zhan’s. He’d woken up in Lan Zhan’s room, in Lan Zhan’s clothes, in Lan Zhan’s bed. There was only one conclusion he could come to.
He was in Lan Zhan’s body.
Wei Wuxian didn’t know if screaming was necessarily the best action to choose, but it was the only thing he could really think to do.
Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian never expected to walk a mile in each other’s shoes, but it seemed like fate wasn’t giving them a choice.

Summary
This was, perhaps, Lan Zhan’s least favorite part of the game. He cleared his throat. “Never have I ever had a pet.”
There was a general uproar at that, horror and sympathy that Lan Zhan had had such a deprived childhood, while around the circle everyone took a sip of their drink. But Wei Ying, who would normally be celebrating Lan Zhan’s pathetic talent for making the whole group drink, was watching Jiang Cheng with a small, concerned frown. Far too late, Lan Zhan realized his mistake. Of course pets were a sore subject between them. Of course he should have said something, anything else.
Jiang Cheng scowled, shooting a stormy look at Lan Zhan and then zeroing in on Wei Ying, eyes narrowing. When the chatter about pets died down, he spoke up, his voice hard and sharp. “Never have I ever been in love with anyone in this room.”
[A game of Never Have I Ever goes slightly off the rails, and a night of drunken shenanigans ensues.]
