Summary
Now that Will’s sitting and Mike’s the one that’s standing, he looks impossibly tall. Tall and lanky, and huge. He should sit back down, Will thinks, lay back down next to Will and stay in their own secluded little bubble.
“I really want to kiss you,” Mike says, and Will’s eyes snap back up to his so violently he thinks he hears his own neck crack with the force of it.
“Don’t,” Will croaks, before his brain has even processed the words. “Don’t say that.”
“Okay,” Mike says easily, still staring. And what the actual fuck is going on? Is Will hallucinating? Is the weed making him hallucinate? “So sausage and pepperoni?”
Will stares dumbly at him. “Um - yeah. Yes.”
“Cool,” Mike replies and then just turns around and leaves Will sitting dumbly in his own room.

Mike and Will get high on Jonathan’s weed and Mike has an amazing idea.

George presses his body against his, warmth curls in his gut. Dream makes a small sound under his breath. “Dream, you’re so fucking—”
Dream kisses him before he even gets to say it, and they stumble against the wall of the elevator. This is the stupidest thing George has ever done, but he loves stupid with Dream. He loves wanting this much.
Wanting Dream is bigger than his body.
Dream and George try their luck at subtlety across three different cities.

They glare at each other for a moment, a foot apart, breathing heavily. Both of them are spitting mad, and neither one of them is going to back down. George’s eyes shift to Dream’s mouth for a fraction of a second. (He can feel Dream’s breath. It’s annoying.)
“Why do you have to be so fucking obnoxious all the time,” Dream grits out. It isn’t a question.
“You’re the one who’s making me look like an idiot in front of Coach. You’re the one who’s done nothing but cause problems since mmph–”
Right when he’s talking, Dream rudely interrupts him by surging forward and pressing their lips together.
—or, dream is the annoying new guy on george’s swim team. he might be… conventionally attractive, and kind of funny, and occasionally nice, but george doesn’t have a crush on him. not even a little.

Dream held out his hand out and helped George to his feet. “Welcome to Florida, monsieur,” he said with a horrible British accent that morphed into a horrible French accent for the last word, but before George could make fun of him for it Dream kissed George’s hand like someone out of a cheesy period romance.
George was not aware how susceptible he was to cheesy period romances before that moment.
Really, could you blame him for letting out an embarrassing giggle and flushing bright red? What was he supposed to do when the man he’d had feelings for for years pressed his lips to George’s knuckles like that?

Summary
“The last thing I remember is summer starting.” Dream grasps for some anchor in his memories to point to where exactly they stop going forward. “We were going to go to visit your family in the UK, but I don’t remember the trip at all.”
George pales. “What?”
The trip was supposed to be most of June. It’s November. Dream steels himself against another crisis, at least for now. “I can’t remember the last six months,” he says, more to himself than to George. It comes out barely a whisper on his lips but George’s eyes widen.
“I’ll find a doctor.”-
Dream wakes up in the hospital confused and aching and stuck six months in the past. No one ever thinks they're going to be in an accident until it happens. No one thinks they're going to have trauma-induced amnesia either. George is acting weird. Sapnap is acting like he's fragile. The only one who doesn't seem to care that he's different is Patches, and that's just because she's a cat. How do you go forward when you can't remember how you got where you are?

George finds himself often brushing his fingers over those freckles until he realizes what he’s doing and withdraws entirely. He kind of wants to shove as much distance between them as possible so he can reject the thought that he’s falling.
But he also doesn’t want that, admittedly. The soothing of everything in their busy lives at the placement of being tucked into his friend’s chest, it’s just too good. And if he did want to place a platonic wedge into their closeness, there’d have to be a conversation held.
Because Dream is guilty of pressing close just as much as he is, he can’t one day go stiff at hands pulling at him. He can’t go back to sleeping alone.
