Summary
The pain has become too much for Ilya Rozanov to carry. For years, he’s lived with grief that never really healed, loneliness that followed him from Russia to Boston to Ottawa, and the constant exhaustion of pretending he’s okay when he hasn’t been in a very long time. Hockey gave him purpose. Shane Hollander gave him love. But neither could silence the ache left behind by losing his mother or the growing belief that maybe it was time to see her again.
So one morning, after one too many days suffering in silence, Ilya decides he’s done fighting. He leaves behind a letter for Shane, swallows a bottle of pills, and waits for the pain to end. Unfortunately for him, he is loved far too deeply for the universe to let him go that easily.
When the Hollanders find him in time, Ilya is forced into something he never planned for: surviving. And surviving means psychiatric holds, therapy sessions, difficult conversations, and learning how to let people care for him without believing he’s a burden. Most terrifying of all, it means letting Shane see every ugly, broken piece of him he tried so desperately to hide.
—
Or: Ilya Rozanov attempts suicide, but the Hollanders love him too much to let him go quietly.

Summary
The sports world is on fire. A leaked, heavily redacted copy of the Raiders' joke "truce" letter to Montreal, paired with photos of their drunken night of bonding out at a club, has the entire public convinced that the Montreal-Boston playoff series is a multi-million-dollar fraud — and that Ilya and Shane are two of the masterminds behind it.
Ilya doesn’t give a shit about the headlines. He doesn’t care about the media circus swarming his hotel lobby, or the strict coach-mandated lockdown confining him to his room. All he knows is Shane is across town spiraling, and he's not with him.
Good thing Cliff Marleau is willing to do whatever it takes to help his best friend get to his man.

Summary
When the long game falls apart, Shane and Ilya need a new plan.
I recommend reading the series in order it was posted, even though the second fic is a prequel to the first one.

Summary
Shane glanced at his fox, Akane. Still between Rozanov’s legs.
Dark eyes staring back at him. Akane didn’t have dark eyes. She had hazel eyes, brilliant, multifaceted gems that glimmered playfully in even the dimmest light.
That was Rozanov’s daemon. Of course it was.
Rozanov’s daemon was identical to Shane’s. The same body shape. The same small white diamond above the nose. The same deeper red blaze along the spine. But he still should’ve been able to tell it wasn’t Akane.
Who can’t recognize their own daemon?

Summary
Suddenly the warm pressure against his back is gone and there’s the shock of a cold nose, making his posture straighten, but it’s only a moment before it’s replaced with the rasp of a warm tongue.
“Darya,” Ilya says again, still warning but slightly breathless. Shane can’t speak, his mouth fallen open and eyes shut, as Daryeva licks up the length of his spine in long, sure strokes. It takes him a moment to realize the soft, breathy moans are coming from him.
Cracking one eye open, he looks to Nemarynn, whose gaze is already intent on him, and mutters, “I see why you like this so much.”
Shane and Ilya have dæmons, physical manifestations of their souls that walk beside them in the form of animals. And, much like their humans, they’re very fond of each other. (Heed the tags.)
