Summary
“Can’t believe I let you talk me into this,” Sniper repeated in disbelief, glancing over at the man in his passenger seat.
“Thank you,” Spy said with all the presumptuousness of someone forcing a favour. The suit jacket had come off in deference to the Australian summer heat, as had the poncy cufflinks that had their own little case. Spy’s shirtsleeves had been rolled up, and like Victorian ladies and their ankles, that bit of unfamiliar skin kept drawing Sniper’s eyes. If Spy had undone his collar and tie, Sniper may well have crashed. Not that there was much to crash into out here.
“You hate the van,” Sniper said, as he’d said many times before, forcing himself to look back at the road.
“The things I must do to have ‘a local bloke’ accompany me,” bemoaned Spy.
(Vaguely during comic 7 timeskip. Sniper helps Spy out with a mission. The local wildlife are less helpful.)

"The entire surface of the eye needs to be coated before blinking," Sakura responded to the clone-Naruto. "So he needs to be able to control his eyes voluntarily. And Sasuke, you're not leaving without the treatment. It's your choice, we have seal restraints, or we can hold you down."
"Then hold me down," Sasuke replied.
"What?" the Narutos chorused. Sakura nearly joined them, staring at the dark-haired man sitting in the chair.
"Hold me down," Sasuke repeated through gritted teeth, refusing to make eye contact with either of them. "Or it's not going to happen."

Zoro should give back to the dojo that raised him. It was a given, Koushiro was getting old, he had lost his best disciple once already when his daughter died and did not have time to train another. It was the least Zoro could do.
If he left, Zoro would be returning great disservice for the generosity bestowed upon him, everything the master had done. He knew this. He didn't want to be ungrateful, he didn't feel ungrateful— his heart was so full of gratitude it hurt and he had to breathe through it.
If he left, he would be an ungrateful man. A man of poor character. It would be poor repayment.
Zoro could not leave.
And yet, he must.

"Who's asking?" Law answered, lazy and unthreatened, but his eyes were on the case. It was flat and narrow, one handspan wide. A coin case.
"You've got a reputation with people in my business," the coin trader laughed nervously, tapping the protective case he'd placed on the table. Law's eyes flicked to the movement. "Heard you pay good money for coins with the Flevance snowdrop."

"I hit him," Izuna confesses instead, because the words have been sitting swollen in his throat since it happened. "The Sacrifice."
"Good," Madara says.
Izuna reels back.
Madara scowls. "Good," he repeats. "Hit him again. Hit him more. That's what you're supposed to do. Someone has to, that's the whole point, remember?"
"But he's—"
"He's an enemy, and he was trying to kill you," Madara says firmly. "You're supposed to fight him, because the rest of us can't."

His first sharingan memory recalls with perfect clarity Senju Tobirama's face, his fox eyes and their pale red irises, dark in the shadow of his face guard but unmistakable. That was the day they realised Senju Tobirama is a Blessed Sacrifice, sacred to the Uchiha. It follows from the gods—Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi fell from the blessed eyes and left weakness behind so that the Uchiha might have strength.
