When Steve Harrington got his ass handed to him by Jonathan Byers, Eddie honestly thought that the world was ending. Who was he kidding? The King of Hawkins High getting beaten up by one of the town’s freaks was not something he had on his 1983 bingo card.
So when Eddie sauntered into his second year of English with O’Donnell, the last thing he expected to see was Steve sitting in the front of the classroom, his notoriously beautiful hair dyed a dark red color, an earring hanging from his right ear, and a choker gracing his thick neck.
Holy fuck. The king turned punk.

Summary
Eddie hated Christmas with a passion. It was absolutely dumb, a holiday that didn’t deserve to be celebrated by the people who celebrate it.
But Steve. His beautiful, sweet, wonderful Steve Harrington adored Christmas. The day after Thanksgiving he’s up at the crack of dawn, pulling the decorations out of their attic; putting up the faux tree that they had bought the year before as Eddie’s nose couldn’t take another fir. Steve went all out, decorating every crevice of their home, every nook, and cranny that he could reach.
But this year, it seems that something changed. Black Friday came and Steve was still asleep, letting out small puff puffs and gentle sighs. His sleep-ruffled hair was splayed out on his pillow, and his body was curled, seeking warmth underneath the covers.

“I can’t do this anymore, Eds,” Steve whispered, swirling the whiskey around in his cup. “It’s getting to be too much for me. I don’t know how much more I can handle.”
Approaching Steve as if he were a wounded animal, Eddie gently placed his hands on the brunette’s shoulders, rubbing soft circles into them.
In front of Steve sat a letter, its contents blurred out by the tears that had come from Steve’s eyes when he first opened it.
“What did this one say?” Eddie asks gently.
Steve sniffles, taking a sip of the whiskey before he begins to speak, “He knows where we live.”

I'm telling you the exact same way except she hit her head on the way down and when she woke up she forgot what the doctor said so I had to break the news to her again and guess what she did next! Guess!"
"Based on her previous behaviors and my own current experiences," Jackson says, groggy and out of sorts, "I’m assuming she passed out again."
"Bingo!" March points a finger gun at him and winks as he shuts off the engine and hops out of Jack's car. He leans through the open window to ask, "You remember what the doctor said, right? I don't have to repeat anything."
"No, I think I'm all caught up on the situation."
