Summary
What it says on the tin. The ten drabbles I wrote for the challenge. Not in the same 'verse or linked in any way other than ae_ldws. Incredibly enough I won this round so thank you for your votes and your support.
I've never had more fun coupled with more panic. Both writing to prompts and the ever-present challange of elimination were new for me. It's hard to submit something you're not happy with and just let it be there. It's hard to submit work you adore and wonder if anyone else will like it.
It was such an honor to write with my fellow participants — you are all scary good and fabulously supportive. Thank you for sharing this wild ride. I hope many more of the great writers in our fandom will take a crack at it in the next rounds.

“Sounds like an absolutely terrible idea,” Jiang Cheng says flatly.
“No, it’s a great idea!” Nie Huaisang insists. “You just swipe right on everyone and then send them a message about how they should vote for you. You’re hot, Wei Ying! People will definitely match with you and then you can swoop in and hit them with the politics!”
“I don’t even have Tinder,” Wei Ying protests. He’d downloaded the app in first year but had quickly deleted it after a girl responded to his message of wanna get a drink with yeah sure, what time?
“That can easily be fixed,” Nie Huaisang says.

Summary
When Xiao Zhan sets the coffee on one of the tables by the window, Yibo looks down at the cups and chuckles, all low and warm. Yibo’s laugh has always been so at odds with the stoic and calm persona he sells, something sweet. Xiao Zhan still remembers the first time he heard Yibo laugh properly, when Xiao Zhan flubbed his lines during the script reading, little croaking giggles ringing in his ears. It hadn’t been a life-changing event — Xiao Zhan’s life isn’t divided into before and after hearing Yibos laugh — except that it is, just a little. Before Yibo, after Yibo. Before The Untamed, after whatever the mess that happened after was. Yibo being here right now fucks up the entire concept of after Yibo.

Lan Zhan is already famous, famously enigmatic; is a strange creature who haunts the practice rooms, a retreating back, long hair seen flicking from the corner of the eye as he does a sharp about-turn to avoid company. I’m going to be his friend, Wei Ying says. Just watch. By the end of the first week, Lan Zhan has called Wei Ying careless, which is the worst thing he can think of, and Wei Ying has called Lan Zhan both the most conventional kind of genius and no fun at all, which are the worst things he can think of, and they’re doing pretty much everything together anyway.
And the rest, Wei Ying says to Wen Qing with false cheer, a decade later and eight thousand kilometres further west, after his career has gone to shit, is politics!
Or: two lives lived as balancing acts, between truth and security.
