There’s a warm sense of satisfaction resting in her stomach, not her own, and Harry doesn’t know why Tom seems so smug. It’s wonderful to meet you, Harry he practically purrs, sounding like he’s whispering directly into her ear. Harry twitches, a small smile starting to grow on her face. “Are you going to help me, Tom?”

Summary
Tom has a small problem. Judging by the way his breath catches in his chest as he stares down at the boy between his legs, it might be developing into a slightly larger one.
So Tom concocts a plan.
Step One: Get Harry to go to Hogsmeade with him. (Through force, if necessary.)
Step Two: Convince him Tom is trustworthy.
Step Three: Fuck him.He laments the effort this is going to take, the way he could use this time to continue networking at the Ministry for his eventual take-over, but he needs to get the other boy out of his system. Tom hopes that by seeing Harry in his most vulnerable state he’ll finally be able to stop thinking about him non-stop.

Summary
Tom traces a slow shape over Harry’s side. His mind flickers, trying to place the pattern of Tom’s fingers. Images explode across his gaze, a twisting snake on a pale forearm, blood running down skin, the pain of a brand. He flinches reflexively.
Tom’s hand freezes. “Harry,” his voice has dropped to a whisper. “Are you okay?”
Harry claws back his smile, even though his stomach is twisting over itself. Tom’s face doesn’t change, and now anxiety is creeping in and crawling up his throat. “Yellow,” he says again. “Like the sun exploded behind my eyes.”
“Yellow,” Tom repeats with a bit of wonder. The impassive mask breaks, and he smiles, like he’s seen the sun itself. He leans forward, kissing Harry’s temple. His lips are feverishly hot. Again, red soaks through Harry’s mouth. He tries not to flinch away.
Tom pulls away, his hand coming up to stroke the hair out of Harry's eyes. “Don’t worry,” he whispers, a long while later. Harry’s closed his eyes, hoping to fall asleep. Apparently Tom thinks he already has. “I’ll never let you go.”

Summary
Jiang Cheng watched Wei Wuxian fall to his death with jiejie’s blood staining his hands.
In retrospect, that was the worst day of his life. Different from the time that his parents were killed. Different from the time that when he woke up, it was to a hollow sensation inside of him where his golden core used to reside. Different from the time that he thought Wei Wuxian might have died, during the long three months of his disappearance.
Different because the two pillars of his life were uprooted and torn away without his permission. At first, Jiang Cheng felt the loss of jiejie more acutely, like a throbbing wound where his heart used to beat. It wasn’t until years later, after the jagged pain of jiejie’s death had dulled into a numb ache, that Jiang Cheng realized the bottomless grief he was experiencing wasn’t just for her.
He missed Wei Wuxian and he hated Wei Wuxian in equal measure.
In which Jiang Cheng learns what it might mean to forgive someone, and how to find peace.

Four pairs of eyes turn to look at said person. Xie Lian presses his lips tightly together and averts his gaze, forcing down the urge to hide his face in his arms. It seems to get the point across well enough.
Pei Ming whistles, clicking his tongue. “Exactly.”

He had never liked cats. Then again, he’d never disliked them, either. He’d been too busy filling his 800 years of thought with more pressing matters (namely, flowers and swords and a certain pair of kind brown eyes) to have much time to pause and consider cats.
That is, until he got one. Or rather, until his Dianxia brought him one.
