As the ambulance (having freshly deposited a screaming man) drove off, Dennis caught a glimpse of a familiar figure trying to play hide and seek with him. He sighed and looked both ways before crossing the ambulance bay.
"Andrew," he said, trying to be stern but not loud.
Pope walked out from the shadows of the night, looking like a dog caught chewing a shoe. Maybe Dennis was becoming too lenient with his stalker, but the guilty look was a little endearing.
