Summary
Hi everyone. If you have been following my DeviantArt channel (mg78), you might be familiar with the Josie and the Pussycats femmeslash comic "Of Dumb Dumbs and Pussycats". Of course, I couldn't show the explicit version there, so instead I'll show it here!

“Hello,” says the strangest voice Ed’s ever heard, jolting him out of his reverie, sending his heart speeding into chaos.He opens his eyes and he’s staring straight at a stuffed animal in the shape of a human person. It is bald with a tiny hat and too-big eyes and it wears a blue shirt and a name tag that says Jeffy in the sort of scrawl normally reserved for words written in blood.
A puppet, he realizes several seconds beyond when it would have been appropriate to respond.

Stede and Ed decide it might be fun to roleplay a scenario where Blackbeard's been captured by the dread Captain Bonnet. It turns out that being buggered within an inch of his life while being called by his alias is more cathartic for Ed than either of them could have ever imagined.

Ed takes a breath, leans a little closer, pressing his temple to Stede’s so he can feel the words against his skin.
“There are so many gaps in my knowledge of you. How you look, and how you feel. How you taste. How you smell. I want to learn all about you. All the spaces in the jigsaw I’ve spent all summer building in my head. I want to finish it.”

Summary
Stede finds the house. When he comes back to their room at the inn, he won’t rest—won’t let Ed rest—until Ed’s seen it. His eyes are bright in that way that makes Ed’s guts feel scooped out with a spoon. So Ed hurries into his boots and goes with him.
The once-white paint is stripped by weather and wear, a portion of the roof is caved in, and the spokes of the wraparound porch are all gnawed through by animals.
Ed gazes up at the broken windows and the birds that have built nests there. At his side, Stede is waiting, rocking back and forth on his heels.
"It’s perfect," says Ed.

His 6-month stay is running out and, well, turns out a fake marriage is an option to stay, because tropes are fun. Ed's got his own shit going on, you'll find out more in later chapters, but he thinks a sham marriage to this weird guy is probably going to at least be a bit of a laugh. Will update weekly.
