Summary
The year is 1940. China has fallen to the invading Wens. Summary
Jiang Cheng leaves Lotus Pier before the Wen Internment Camp and before the destruction of his home. When he meets Lan Xichen on the run from the Wens after the burning of Cloud Recesses, his plan to live a peaceful life away from cultivation sects is quickly derailed. It doesn’t go unnoticed to Jiang Cheng that Lan Xichen has sneakily slipped in the fact that he knows who Wei Wuxian is to Jiang Cheng, even though that information wasn’t volunteered.
