Wei Ying has left a hickey on his neck. To any other eye, it will look like a bruise from a fight, but he knows how it got there. If he were in the business of taking people, like so many in our world are, I would let him take me, and I would let him keep me.

Lan Zhan [//Hanguang-jun] isn't one of the best agents in the world for nothing. He would be the best, perhaps, were it not the infuriating and annoyingly hot enigmatic rogue agent [//The Yiling Laozu] who is determined to fight him at every chance they get. Summary
Wei Ying believes in fate and fairy tales. A lonely hopeless romantic, he loses himself in fantasies of a man who comes into his workplace every morning. But after a series of events leaves the man in a coma and Wei Ying as the hero who saved him, a miscommunication leads the man’s family to think Wei Ying is his unknown, brand-new fiancé.
Wei Ying means to clear up the miscommunication—until he meets the man’s brother and decides to stick around for just a little while longer.
To be fair, Wei Ying didn’t expect to fall for a beautiful stranger—and Lan Zhan certainly didn’t expect to fall for his brother’s fiancé.

Summary
When Wei Wuxian realizes how strange it is that Lan Wangji is the only disciple from his sect at the Wen Sect's indoctrination, he puts together a haphazard plan to get punished with him and get some time alone to talk to him--only to get punished again when Wen Chao catches him mid-conversation attempt. At first, Wei Wuxian laughs off getting shoved into the empty dungeon, but he soon notices that some strange scent in the room is making him go into heat, which is a twist that Wei Wuxian doesn't understand. It's only when a rutting Lan Wangji gets shoved into the room with him that Wei Wuxian realizes Wen Chao's idea for punishing him is far more demented than he could have imagined. (canon divergent from The Untamed, episode 12)
