You always wondered how you got here. You came to the Second Harbinger willingly. You were always a sickly individual-- and you had been desperate enough to volunteer yourself as a test subject with the hopes that Dottore would be able to cure your ailments. However, instead of being relieved of any of your symptoms, you now found yourself with cat ears and a tail. Dottore’s current scientific endeavors were… interesting to say the least. You’d protested of course, but research consent isn’t really a thing in this laboratory. If this were fantasy, you’d find it to be a comedy. But since it was your life…

Growing up, you'd always heard that Il Dottore was many things: genius, madman, miracle-worker.
After working under him, you realise that he's every bit as complicated as the rumours make him sound. He allows no room for mistakes, but tolerates failure. He hates the cold, but spends most of his days in the most frigid parts of Snezhnaya, staring over the winter sea. He's always homesick for a place across that same sea he was never truly able to call his. The list goes on.
Yes, you have come to learn, Il Dottore is a walking mess of contradictions.
More heretic than god. More god than heretic. Never one, and never both.
And sometimes, in the brief, selfish moments he lets you witness—more man than monster.

An overzealous Fatui Agent sees your talent in engineering and analyzing ruin technology and modern tech alike, and engages you in conversation- quickly learning your love for tinkering, but your inability to interact with most people. For some reason, they think you'll be a good resource for Dottore to use.
One moment you're on a walk to meet "A friend who they think you'll like", and the next, you wake up in a hastily constructed containment cell. Judging from the angered voice in the hall, Dottore is just as baffled as you- however, now that you were already here, may as well do something with you.
