Summary
Dr. Spencer Reid knows falling in love with the BAU’s newest agent is a recipe for heartbreak. She’s smart, she’s bubbly, and she may legitimately be the most beautiful woman in the world. Plus, she doesn’t believe in love, no doubt in part to her traumatic childhood. He knows how their story ends, and as long as he can maintain their friendship, he’s ok with the pain.

Three years after their meeting, she’s lucky to consider Spencer her best friend. Not that their relationship makes much sense, since she usually doesn’t trust men and would rather spend her evenings partying than watching Dr. Who. But when a laundry list of concerning symptoms begin burdening her hang outs with Spencer, she turns to her therapist, who provides a terrifying diagnosis:
Love.
But she can’t be in love with Spencer. Love isn’t real. And even if it was, someone with her history could never be worthy of his heart.
So… there has to be a cure. Even if it’s finding him his happily ever after while she watches from the sidelines.
That’s all she deserves.
