    1987 went to shit. Vecna brought on what may well be the apocalypse, and Steve fought it to the end. Literally.

    Death was supposed to be a one-way street. But knowing a girl with super powers had a tendency to change the game. So when Steve opens his eyes to a beer-soaked bathroom on Halloween in 1984, Nancy calling him 'bullshit' all over again, the universe might forgive Steve for thinking he was either a) in Hell or b) going cracked. But Steve didn't have time to freakout. Not when El finds him and asks that he help her change the events of the future. Not when he's the only other person she managed to drag with her for chance number two.

    OR: A time travel fix-it, where 1987 Steve is dropped back into his 1984 self. And now he has to deal with that plus the impending apocalypse on the horizon. But he'll be fine, right? Because, as El informs whoever asks, Steve's 'The Babysitter'. So he gets to work. He can cry later, when he's done.

He dreams of a white picket fence and two children playing in the garden and all Marc can do is gag because that is not him. That is not what he wants, deserves or can be trusted with, not after all he did during his long, violent career.
    Then one day while sorting through all of Marc’s multiple fake identities he uses to launder his illegally earned money, Steven stumbles over a series of monthly withdrawals going back years. Who is this Jake Lockley that is listed as an employee in one of Marc’s sham companies? And who is Julienne Sanchez, that he gives all his salary to? Fighting past repeated blackouts and strange dizziness, the two start digging into the mystery and uncover secrets that could ruin their life forever.

    In which being the only alter with half a brain cell can get pretty boring when you haven't got anyone to share it with. And Jake has never been what anyone would call friend material.

    Meanwhile, Bob Reynolds is...adjusting. Seriously! He is. It's only that being the objectively craziest guy in a group of messed up ex-mercenaries and super soldiers can get kind of lonely, especially when one bad day might spell the end of New York as we know it. Also, there's only so many dishes he can do before he seriously starts to contemplate the merits of re-acquiring a drug habit. (It's not like it could kill him anymore, right? Haha. Kidding.)

    But Bob's doing fine! Honest. He doesn't need a friend. And he definitely doesn't need Jake Lockley.

    And oh what a thought that always is—I love you, still a sentiment so foreign and sweet and too easy, seeping into his skin and twisting along his bones, something he hardly lets himself think about, so much of it he’ll drown in it if he’s not careful.
    “I—yeah,” he says, when he realizes Sam is still watching him, waiting, and it sounds gravely and distracted to his own ears, maybe a little lost. Overwhelmed. He clears his throat, repeats, “Yeah.”

    Bucky is so competent that it hurts my feelings is not a rational complaint to have about a person, and yet, after a year of being Captain America and partnering up with Bucky for the new and improved, post-Blip Avengers, that’s kinda how Sam’s feeling.

    It’s not great. It maybe leads to Sam making some rash, ill-advised decisions like claiming he has a previously undisclosed superpower, and then getting caught in a web of lies when he ends up actually developing that surprisingly inconvenient superpower. Talking to birds had seemed like a harmless superpower, but it turns out that birds have a lot of opinions, and they don’t hesitate to tell Sam about them, especially when it comes to his supposedly subpar courting skills. Which is ridiculous, because Sam isn’t courting Bucky. Right?

    Stephanie “Stevie” Harrington’s estate donated a large stack of letters from her private collection to the Museum of Rock and Roll today after a statement was made public from Harrington herself, explaining that post-mortem, may these be donated and released. The museum had 609 notes and letters to choose from, all of which contained personal details about both Harrington and the recipient, the late Edward Munson of Copper Coffin fame. This Friday, thirty of these letters will be on display in the museum, and almost a quarter of the entire collection uploaded online. The museum has split all of these letters into four categories: Introductions, Life and Work, From the Slammer, and True Love.

    When the dust settles on Hawkins, Steve Harrington prepares himself for a life of mediocrity, according to his dad anyway.

    Steve’s not sure where he fits in anymore since he no longer has to fight his way through interdimensional monsters. He’s floating, coasting almost, and none of his clothes feel right on his skin anymore.

    As people leave the small town Steve grew up in (and will probably die in), Hellfire Club loses a member just before embarking on an important campaign.

    With a little bit of bullying from The Party, Steve joins their ranks as their resident changeling fighter, hoping to find a way to still make himself useful as the kids grow older and Steve thinks about what he wants his future to look like – which might involve his friend turned DM; Eddie Munson.
