He grinned again, immediately turning and dragging her the rest of the way through the trees into the clearing where the thirty-foot-tall rock wall stood ominously. A pit settled into her stomach.
“Never mind,” she said, turning back towards the trees.
“No!” Langdon yelled, grabbing her around the waist so that her back was pressed to his front and pulling her back awkwardly with him. “No takesies backsies!”

Summary
That’s his bright spot, though—the thing he clings to on his first day, then continues to hold onto tightly thereafter: Mel.
Where he had felt out of step with everyone else, he and her were right on beat together, dancing around the ED, just as they had on her first day. He had been shocked how easily they picked up where they’d left off. There was no wariness towards him, no undercurrent of judgement, no hesitation to let him treat a patient. She didn’t hold him back, she pushed him forward. It was what he needed more than anything.

OR: The only thing that really makes Frank feel good about being back at the Pitt is Mel. He holds on tight to her, even when other men in the ED seem to want her too. -

When they had made the appointment, it was specifically on his day off so that he and Abby could both be there, but he wouldn’t be surprised if she had planned this just to get back at him for the times he’d flaked on her for work.
Now that he’s met Ms. King, though, he was very thankful there was some five alarm emergency at the firm that had pulled her away.

OR: Frank Langdon attends a parent-teacher conference with his son's kindergarten teacher, not expecting her to be the most beautiful woman he's ever met. -

Summary
“Okay, Mel, twist my arm! I’ll go with you to your aunt’s wedding.”
“What?! That’s not at all what I was—” She cut herself off when he looked at her with a very distinct Frank Langdon Sparkle in his eyes. “Oh, you’re joking. Ha ha, very funny.”
“Well, half-joking, yeah.” He started backing into a parking spot, his body twisted towards hers so he could see behind them. “I will go to the wedding with you, though.”

.
OR: Frank joins the King sisters for a long weekend in New York, where Mel's relationship with him evolves very quickly.

Summary
“Granger, look at me.” Draco walked up to her, his silver eyes searching hers. “We are stuck in a time loop, all of us. I don’t know how long it’s been happening, but it’s been going for weeks and I’m the only one who has been outside the loop. I’m the only one who has remembered anything from one day to the next, that is before now—before you.”
His throat bobbed with a harsh swallow. “Please, I need your help.”
