Summary
The dreamsharing world is basically just a bunch of gossip-loving loudmouths, so Sam has heard a lot about Steve Rogers - a genius, a madman, a miracle of modern science. But joining his extraction team turns out to be something that no rumour can describe.
What was supposed to be an everyday dream heist from a high-up politician turns out to be a vendetta against a crime lord, and somewhere during the four years since the Moscow job Steve Rogers has gotten himself a ghost.

Summary
Even though it’s only been eight years, it feels like Steve hasn’t been home in decades. He half expects the buildings rising around him to be futuristic sci-fi buildings and floating maybe, or at least bright purple. The music coming through his earbuds – comfort music playlists he compiled as a teenager and never bothered to outgrow – is enough to calm him momentarily; he is still, all ten fingernails left alone and unchewed, but it will only last so long.
(alternately known as, what if Steve's sense of alienation and returning followed him across every universe, and what if in this one, Bucky played the cello.)

This series uses experimental styles and shifting povs, so every chapter is a little different.... Moving from angst to the happy ending we so desperately need for them!! THIS FIC IS NOW COMPLETE!!
If you hated Bucky going into cryo, this is the fic that will fix it for you. Totally canon compliant (at the time of writing) leading to the happy ending for everybody. :D. (Not compliant with Endgame)
