    “No, I can’t stay here,” Gregory continues. “I should get going ho- uh, home.”

    There is something different about Gregory now- something off. Freddy has sensed it since the euphoria of everything turning out okay wore off a bit and left him noticeably tired. Freddy studies him, and recognizes the same expression Gregory had while looking towards the toys. He does not seem like he wants to leave.

    So Freddy thinks for a moment. Then he conducts a scan.

    Results: Not enough to be broken.

    Just enough to take a detour.

    Or: Takes place in an alternate ending where Gregory and Freddy have somehow saved all the animatronics. Freddy senses something is wrong and tries to get Gregory to open up. There are a lot of tears, but it's okay. They'll figure it out together.
