This is loosely inspired by The Wedding Date (2004) but with a slight twist. If you know the movie, I hope you'll still read along. Astarion grabbed it under its armpits, surprisingly heavy for a creature of it's size, and lifted it from the ornate chest, placing it gingerly on the ground.
It scampered barefoot across the grimy floor with quiet plaps. Arriving at Tav—Gods, it was only as tall as her hip—it gripped the hem of her tunic. It spun around on one heel, nearly toppling over with the inertia, to address Astarion. It removed the fingers from its mouth with a horrible wet sound and took a deep breath, or what must be deep for something so tiny.

Besides, you should be proud—you went against a devil and negotiated the most balanced contract I believe has ever been created in the history of the hells. Really, you thought of ALMOST everything.”
Astarion froze.
Raphael laughed. “Don’t worry, little vampire, you’ll get your beloved back, and you’ll have the opportunity to make her fall in love with you again. I will deliver everything that was promised. But my dear Astarion, you forgot one thing…you didn’t say when….”
Astarion turned with a snarl, but before he could take a single step, he had been transported out of the House of Hope in a haze of brimstone, and the last he heard of Raphael was the devil’s devious laughter.
