It was easy. Too easy, really, for Jiang Cheng's blade to find its home below Wei Wuxian's twelfth rib. Wei Wuxian gives as good as he gets—as he should for this kind of performance—but he slips up: let a strike through. He coughs into his hand and it comes away covered in blood. He wipes it on his robes. It's easy, after all, to hide bloodstains in black fabric.
