Ryland Grace never considered himself to be the best guy to ask about gender. Sure, he lived in San Francisco, and he was the cool teacher, always priding himself in being understanding and making his class safe space for all of his students, including the queer kids who needed it. He’s better versed on the topic than the average cisgender man, probably, but he’s not claiming to be an expert.
Even so, he was hoping that’d translate into being more knowledgeable about it than an alien with no concept of gender sixteen light years away from Earth was, but there were a lot of things Adrian one-upped him on.

Summary
I hated how silent the house was without him. Earlier in my life I would have said I hated superfluous noise. That was before the UNESCO conference and my downfall and subsequent rebuilding of an entire existence. Before Rocky bulldozed his way into my life.
I could say then, after 3 years of dating and 2 of marriage, that I just hadn’t found noise I liked before him.

Summary
Etho, Ren, and Bdubs are college roommates.
Etho: Computer science major, smokes weed. Cooks + bakes occasionally (always ask before trying his baked goods, they may contain weed). Works the night shift at a corner store on the opposite side of town and doesn’t tell people. A little nocturnal/an insomniac.
Ren: Double majoring in theater and english. Drinks too much coffee. Works at the local coffee shop and is very friendly w the customers. Does the dishes most of the time and is eventually crowned “king of the apartment” by Bdubs. Stays up late, but still gets his sleep.
Bdubs: Art major. Works at a local bookstore that he is sneaking fake plants into. Takes care of a lot of real plants and tries to get the others into plant care as well. Always asleep by 10 pm.

“Uhh, h-hello, um,” Bdubs' eyes drifted downwards to the nametag pinned onto his apron. “Etho. Greetings, Etho. Wonderful shop you’ve got here. The plants are ah- nice.” He scuffed a boot on the floor and seemed embarrassed. The humor in Etho’s eyes didn’t fade.
“They appreciate it, I’m sure. Can I do anything for you?” His tone was a bit wry. The corners of his mouth curled at the corners underneath his mask.
“Ah- yes. Yes! I would love to make a purchase. For flowers. Yes, flowers.” His shoulders raised to his ears and his face flushed- almost green, but Etho was surely seeing things among the rest of the lighting in the store.or

Summary
The Nether and The Overworld rarely interact. All known portals connecting to the two were inactive and had faded from the populous' memory. Even though there have been tales of such a thing, most don’t seek out cross-dimensional travel so the portals that remained were left broken and unlit. There was a reason for that sort of thing; The Nether was a cruel and unkind place.
While Jimmy, Joel, and Grian were hanging out together, they found a ruined portal. They had the amazing idea of fixing it up, lighting it, and seeing what happened despite having no knowledge about what could be on the other side. Jimmy went through the portal, a ghast destroyed the portal's frame, and he was stranded in a place unfamiliar and strange. All hope seemed lost until a certain Nether resident offered his assistance in getting Jimmy home.

Back then he didn't feel so weak.For some reason, the three had Etho constantly on the brink of regression. Which wasn't good. They were in a murder game and with their limited time, the feasible solution was not to feel small. And with three other teammates hovering over him, Etho couldn't hide away --- he couldn't feel small in peace.

Jon nods. "Once. It's... Complicated." Jon grabs his thimble and takes a sip. Chamomile. Better than peppermint he thinks, but still not his favorite.
"It's a curse. Pretty bad one, too." He sets the thimble down. "Not painful, necessarily, not like lots of curses. But... Inconvenient. And it doesn't seem to be leaving me anytime soon."
"I could help you." Martin offers, and when Jon looks up at him, he seems just as surprised by the offer as Jon does.
"I mean, well... I'm an apothecary. I could try to heal you, if you'd let me." Martin explains, staring down at his tea.

Martin's focused on how Jon is doodling away on a piece of paper on his desk, while the thumb of his free hand is tucked securely into his mouth. Jon's gently kicking his legs, which dangle a few centimeters from the floor, underneath his desk. Despite his curiosity, he decides it's best not to mention the odd behavior.

Sometimes, Jon regresses. Martin doesn't know this, but he's happy to take care of him anyway.
