Summary
An irritated Pokemon might tell you to stop what you're doing. An irritated animal will probably just attack you. Pokemon, for all their power, would be open books and a breeze to care for to any competent animal handler on Earth. After a fiery death, a professional zookeeper who never outgrew Pokemon games ends up in the world of Pokemon. The entire world is thrown onto its side.

Summary
Leo blinks as the words filter through his brain. “Wait, did you… steal Donnie’s wallet? Michael. I’m so proud.”
“Noooooo!” Mikey snickers, like a liar. “He just leaves stacks of bills around his lab sometimes! And Dad’s always telling him to clean up, yeah? I’m just doing my brotherly duty and lending a hand!”
Leo cackles, using his free hand to scrub the top of Mikey’s head in an adjusted noogie. “You are completely in the right and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Now, help me finish this so I don’t get a cramp, and we can be on our way, yeah?” Smooth as anything, he tears the donut in two, making sure to hold the half with more cream out towards his brother.
Mikey’s smile fades a bit, but bolsters a second later. And when he reaches out to take the offered half-donut, something anxious and fluttering in Leo’s chest settles.
Or: just because you love someone doesn’t mean you understand them.

Mikey was screaming, and he flinched at how scared his little brother sounded. The innate need to comfort him kicked in, and Leo stepped forward, holding out his arms to him invitingly, smiling to let him know everything was alright.
“Hey, Mikey, what’s wrong-”
Mikey didn’t open his arms to hug him back.
Mikey ran through him.
Leo is cursed by a mystic whatever thingy. But don't worry guys, he's totally got this! Getting back into his body? Easy peasy.

Summary
He could have taken the later part of the shift off if he'd really needed to. He'd already been tired long before the familiar signs began to hit him, and frankly, he could hardly remember how long he'd slept last night, though he was sure it wasn't very long. If either of his co-Mikes were there, they'd be bugging him up and down to take a break, especially once his head started throbbing. And, again, he could call them.
But Battat never liked opening himself up to the opportunity to be found out by Tenna. One wrong move could send his whole operation tumbling down, and trust him, he had considered every wrong move, probably even some that were literally impossible.
In the end, he decided being hot, miserable, and achy in his costume was sufferable for the final hour of the workday.
He regretted that.
