Kazansky was actually looking at him in concern as Ethan tried and rejected at least four different gambits. Ethan almost wished he’d go back to the mask of indifference. He was good looking enough, he supposed, taller than Ethan, though that was hardly much of a metric. He opened his mouth again to try and say something but shut it again with a click.
Kazansky was still looking at him, this time with growing concern. “Mav?” He asked again, “You seem a little…” he waved his hand vaguely about his temple. Ethan was just about to make another bold attempt at explanation when Kazansky’s eyes went wide. “Oh shit, is your brother already here?”
“Yep,” Ethan managed at last, his voice higher than he expected, “yeah, he’s here.”“Calm down,” Pete said firmly, “He’s my brother. He’s not going to say anything unless he wants to find the quickest way down from 50,000 feet, right Ethan?”
There was a pointed silence as Ethan considered if the air vent system would take his weight. Who was he kidding, the place was a sauna, there were no vents to speak of.“Kazansky’s not our guy, Ethan. I’ve got his file around here somewhere,” Benji’s voice tailed off once more as he looked, but Ethan was calm. Ethan had seen those files Benji was looking for, in fact he’d been the one to edit most of them. It wouldn’t hold up to close scrutiny but unless someone knew where to look there was nothing to suggest to the casual observer that Agent Ethan Hunt and Captain Pete Mitchell had ever met. “You know, this would be a lot easier if I was given more than half an hour to prepare. Did you even have time to get a mask? Who are you even impersonating?”
“Don’t worry about it,” he murmured.“I was sorry to hear about Julia. We both were,” he said and, abruptly, Ethan wished he had simply waved from across the room and departed. For all his faults, no one could say Tom wasn’t sincere, the kind of painful sincerity that he didn’t want to look at.
Something clicked into place. Under the street lamps outside the car, Tom didn’t look like the Admiral Kazansky he’d spent his evening sat next to. His uniform was rumpled, his brow furrowed and the yellow light was unforgivingly harsh on his face. He looked tired. Once more, he remembered Pete’s reluctance to abandon him for the evening.
He sighed and pulled out his own wallet, “This one’s on me,” he said, and passed it over. Tom took it without comment and shucked off his jacket before grabbing the door.If dealing with Mav was a lesson in damage control, then dealing with Ethan was a lesson in pained acceptance. Ice shut the door wordlessly and turned after them.
“Ethan,” Ilsa said stiffly, “I had no idea you had remarried.”
For the first time, Ethan seemed utterly incapable of speech. His shoulder was tense under Ice’s hand and, if he hadn’t been laughing for the first time in three days, Ice would have wondered at the wisdom in giving Ethan, whose job title he was sure could be boiled down to international man of mystery, a legitimate reason to want him dead.“Don’t do this,” Ethan said plaintively.
“Do what?” Ice asked blithely. He was quite enjoying himself. It felt like the beginning of the same sort of unholy glee that he imagined possessed Mav whenever he tried to self-destruct his own career every couple of years. He picked up the frame and handed it to Ilsa, who took it with clear reluctance. “I’ve got the album around here somewhere.”
There was an album somewhere among the bookshelves, but he had the whole thing saved on his phone. It would have been easy to find it had Ethan’s hand not darted out and snatched it from his palm. For a moment, he considered trying to grab it back. Ice had grown up as the youngest of three and was no stranger to irate brothers, but with a flick of Ethan’s wrist it disappeared. Whether down his sleeve or into his pocket, it didn’t make too much of a difference. The panic on Ethan’s face was endlessly amusing.
“Well, if this doesn’t work out, sweetheart, then you’ve got a promising career in close up magic ahead of you,” he said, and hid his smile with a cough.How’d you know all the-, Ice asked and waved his hand vaguely.
“Exhaustive research."
You know, I don’t think Mav has ever once called him Simpson to his face.
“I can’t do it,” Ethan said, shaking his head, “I can’t call a grown man Cyclone, Tom.”Whichever one of you I’m married to owes me a dance, he signed quickly, hoping that they could escape before Ethan could somehow make the situation even worse. Ice had learned over many years to never bet against him in that regard.

Summary
Over the summer all Sparrow and Duchess did was argue. It was silly really, arguing over little things that aren't important. Eventually they argued so much that they refused to see each other. Then school started. Sparrow wants to apologize but when he gets there he finds out that he is too late.
OR
Only with a couple of weeks of summer left Duchess found out that her destiny was happening, just not with the prince she hoped for because the only one she wants she argued with all summer and her destiny is happening sooner than later. When Sparrow finds out, it turns out that more than just heart broke that fateful day.
