It's been a full year of living in close quarters on the Hail Mary. Grace was bound to mess up eventually.
If Grace was still on Earth, he would have plenty of options for places to go. A quiet park, maybe a movie theater, a walk on the beach. Something like that. As it is, stuck on the Hail Mary, he just doesn’t have that many options of places to go after a fight with his roommate.

One thing that Rocky has learned about humans is that they like to look at pictures.
Maybe. Or maybe it is just a particular habit of his Grace, who seems to pass more and more time sitting in the projection room and looking at his rolling images of Earth.
Rocky likes Earth. Especially the beach. That’s Grace’s favorite place, too.
But the pictures don’t change. Not more than they did the first time Grace showed him, with the waves crashing up onto the sand and the leaves of the trees rustling in the wind.

Robby's temper gets the best of him during handoff, and Jack ends up taking shrapnel from a fight that wasn't his. He didn't mean to snap. He didn't mean to humiliate Jack. But he did and the second the words leave his mouth, Robby knows he crossed a line.
The apology at home is hesitant, rough around the edges, and completely genuine. And Jack, still hurt, still furious, gives him a chance to make it right... in the ways only they know how.
