Summary
The Valyrian Gods are upset that the Long Night destroyed the world. The House of Dragons was on its last legs. Their champion too weakened to effectively fight and win. They decide they must go back to the beginning and stop the Dance of the Dragons.
They tried sending warnings to Viserys with dreams about a son so he knows to prevent it but he misunderstands. They tried sending dreams to Rhaenyra and this time they show everything that is to come. It doesn’t bode well for the young princess, too overwhelmed and confused, she ends up labeled mad. Even when Daemon is sent dreams alongside Rhaenyra, the King keeps siding with their enemies and weakening their House.
They decide Viserys is the problem, he cannot become King. They send dreams to a young Aemma. They know now to send only bits of information at a time. Aemma, the blue dragon who never got the chance to feel her own fire. From her line comes the ‘Heir That Was Promised’.

After journeying into the far North, Eddard Stark returns changed by forgotten truths and old powers hidden beneath weirwood roots and winter shadows. Quietly, the North begins to awaken. Roads are built. Moat Cailin rises anew. Winter Town grows into Winterhold, a great northern city of trade, learning, and strength. The Night’s Watch is reborn, whilst whispers speak of direwolves, giants, and the Children of the Forest hidden deep within sacred groves. To the rest of Westeros, the North still appears poor and isolated. That illusion is deliberate.

Rodrik sends his brother Asher to Essos to gather an army and Mira to King's Landing to find out who is working with the Whitehills. Danger is around every corner for House Forrester. Asher wants to fight for his family and protect them from the danger. Mira wants to do what she can and will go through great lengths to save her family, even if it means she has to work for Prince Daemon Targaryen to "pay off a debt for killing one of his gold cloaks." Ethan wants to prove he can be strong in the face of danger to protect Ironrath. Daemon Targaryen wants to avoid marriage and prove to his brother that Otto is a danger to the realm and to their family. When he finds one of his gold cloaks dead at the hands of a northern girl from a noble house, he forces her to be his spy and give him any information she gets.

I'll start with stating that Catelyn and Ned are my favourite couple in GOT and ASoIaF! But...
What if Cersei had been married to someone else? Someone less abusive, less cheating, less drunk? What if Jaime wasn’t wriggling right before her all the time, tempting her to pretend to be a Targaryen? What if she had married someone kind, honourable, and compassionate? Would she still be driven to be a mad woman who believed that maids were stitching her clothes smaller and that Tyrion lived in the walls? And, in Westeros, Ned is a good husbands in comparison to the rest of the men in the story, so I matched them.
How will Cersei’s life unfold when she is married to a sullen Northern lord? Will she find the crown she dreamt of as a girl who was promised to wed a prince? Will the prophecy given by an old and mad witch in the woods come true? Or maybe, just maybe, Cersei will find a sliver of happiness, without the crown. Maybe she will not need to fear for her children’s lives.
