Summary
Mack is almost horrified by how casually his father keeps handing Will instructions. Rick had mentioned that having Will on the team would help Mack a lot, considering how good he is on the ice. You don't get drafted fourth overall for nothing.
He had briefly wondered how that’s going to work. They both play center.
Mack’s best friend, Connor Bedard, who had the privilege of meeting Will first, had already told Mack the same thing: Will's a great guy. They get along well enough, but Connor admits it's hard to keep a conversation going. They are both so relentlessly polite towards each other and civil that sometimes it feels like talking to a media-trained version of himself rather than the actual person.
"Wake him up early. Make sure he eats." Will nods solemnly, as though committing the instructions to memory. "Got it."

Summary
Fortunately for Will, the off-season allowed him for a calm and unrestricted schedule when it wasn't filled with baking, skating and Mack. Unfortunately for Mack, his schedule consisted of marketing campaigns and photoshoots for brands whose name he didn't even pay enough attention to remember. This meant Mack’s only actual free time was full of eating Will’s baked goods, skating, and Will. However, it also meant Will was home alone (no pun intended) almost all the time except for late evenings when Mack would finally arrive, too tired to notice Will’s rosy cheeks, messed up sheets and scattered closet.
Until he did.

Summary
Sid was pretty sure that some wires had gotten crossed in his brain a long time ago, the ones that were meant to keep arousal on one path, and hockey on the other.
Maybe it was a function of having to have been at peak physical fitness for so much of his youth that had triggered it, or maybe, it was just how things were meant to be, but until that very first concussion, Sid had just associated days with the trainers or the physios with days where he got a new stick or a new mouthguard - his body just couldn’t determine how to deal with the excitement, and so it all went south.

"With the ice creams," Mack repeats, nodding to Will and also to himself. Teeth, then Oswald. Perfect plan. "Open wide, Willy. Ahhhhh."
