Oh. Oh. How is Kaveh supposed to focus on his work now in the proximity of a man like this one?
Or: When trying to save Lesser Lord Kusanali, Alhaitham uses a divine knowledge capsule to fight the sages. However, it malfunctions, and he becomes a 'mad scholar'. Kaveh is forced to deal with the consequences.

“I’m going now,” Kaveh murmurs. He moves closer to his roommate—hair brushing cheek, fingertips grazing shoulder—and his lips pull into something of a smile. “Good night.”
Alhaitham watches him collect his keys from the bowl and disappear into the doorway, red cape plumed against the dusk. He frowns. Something about Kaveh has unsettled him today.
A Kaveh with his edges blunted, without a retort at the tip of his tongue? No. He’s seen that before, time and time again. He’s known that version of him for years: Kaveh at midnight in the library, eyelids heavy with sleep. Kaveh in letters, over all the mundane things. Kaveh inside their kitchen, making them breakfast.
But this is different now. Something new curls between the two of them, nudging at their yearslong rhythm. Something has changed.

He’s probably just projecting, and that must say something about him, right? Despite his personal affinity for other genres, as the Ultimate Gamer, Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu is very familiar with that premise. And soon enough, he finds himself living it. Thrown into a Killing Game soon after the discovery that his longtime online friend has a very particular Ultimate Talent, Fuyuhiko finds himself in actual danger for the first time in his life. He'll need to learn his way around social situations, and all sorts of other things, to save himself and protect his best friend among such strange personalities as a pair of Ultimate Lucky Students who can't agree which is the real one, and a mechanic even shorter than him whose size doesn't keep her from being full of vitriol.----
Currently on long hiatus, probably won't ever continue, please just read Mister Monokuma's Medicinal Murdergame instead.
Technically a prequel to Everybody's Brand New and Improved Killing Game Semester, but either can be read without reading the other.Series
