Summary
Jiang Wanyin had claimed Wei Wuxian left when they were sleeping, that they had planned on going back to Lotus Pier, to fight against the Wen stronghold that was there, to reclaim the bodies of Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan - and Wei Wuxian had fled, run, disappeared, vanished.
He claimed that he woke up, and Wei Wuxian was gone, not a single trace of him in the space they had found to sleep in.
Immediately, others were giving Jiang Wanyin their condolences for having such a disobedient disciple, for Wei Wuxian fleeing in the night after everything he had caused, leaving the aftermath to be faced alone by Jiang Wanyin.
Lan Wangji had never believed such a story.

Summary
The first thing Wei Ying became aware of was cold steel at his throat.
Not one blade—several.
He did not move.Sleep still clung to him, heavy and disorienting, but instinct burned through it fast enough. His eyes cracked open to darkness cut by lantern light, and beyond it, the rigid silhouettes of Gusu Lan disciples. White robes. Swords steady. Not trembling.
Not a mistake, then.Wei Ying let out a slow breath, careful not to shift against the edge pressing lightly into his skin. “Well,” he said, voice rough with sleep, “this is a new way to wake up.”
No one laughed.
That, more than the swords, told him something was very wrong.“You will come with us,” one disciple said. Young. Formal. Afraid—but hiding it well. “You are to be detained and questioned.”
“Questioned?” Wei Ying echoed. His mind raced, sifting through the previous day. Punishments—yes. Lan Wangji standing over him like a silent judge. Copying rules until his wrist ached. Kneeling until his legs went numb. Nothing new, nothing unusual, nothing that should end with… this.
He frowned. “Did I break a new rule I haven’t heard of yet?”

Summary
Pyke felt like he was on fire. The way he was lighting up the room had to be nearly blinding. The sheer desperation in his veins had him grabbing onto Rett, he couldn’t possibly let go, not ever. There was a vague reason that he didn’t usually kiss Rett, something about emotions and discussing them, and it being easier to just hold each other than change what they were.
The reason felt less important.
He kissed Rett Indigo like he was dying and let the fire in his veins spill into Rett’s mouth as a brilliant glowing light, light that leaked from every inch of Pyke’s body.
There was that same vague reason that he and Rett didn’t usually have sex.
The reason felt even less important now that he’d tasted Rett’s lips.Series

Summary
“Congratulations, Alexander,” he said one evening, laughing as he poured wine. “By stripping you of your runes, the Clave has created its worst nightmare: a brilliant, well-informed, free Lightwood with nothing to lose and a very sharp tongue.” Magnus shook his head and laughed again, “The law is the law! Oh how I love the fact that you are hoisting the Clave by their own petard!”
