Summary
Sunoo's never really been a fan of water. His old school friends used to think it was because he was a sickly, protected child, but that's not really true- he's just always preferred to stay happily dry and warm.
So it's just his luck that the photoshoot is not only in the water, in an underground, dark pool but, of course, the heater's broken and there's not enough time to fix it. The water is so cold it practically forces the air from his lungs. To make matters worse, the new photographer seems to have a personal vendetta against him, and his members won't even be arriving for a few hours so he's completely and utterly alone.
But he'll be fine. He'll only be in the water for a few minutes, right? Then he can go home and forget the day ever happened. What could possibly go wrong?
Apparently, he soon discovers as he watches fingers tremble uncontrollably, arm aching dully, the answer is a lot.

Sunoo looks up from his phone to find himself staring at a boy around his age, smiling at him while holding a tray with some sort of strawberry-flavoured concoction. He’s pretty, with bright, feline eyes, fluffy blonde hair and… are those cat ears?!
“Can we share a table if you don’t mind? All of them are full.”
Never in a million years did Sunoo expect the boy to place his tray on the table, walk right past the empty chair, and plop himself straight down on Sunoo’s lap.

By the time the cameras catch him breaking, it’s almost too late.
The scandal burns hot. His old pack insists nothing is wrong. Niki, terrified, shaking, exhausted finally asks for somewhere else to go.
Enhypen wasn’t meant to be more than a temporary refuge.
They definitely werent supposed to become his safe place. They weren’t supposed to notice the flinches, the overworking. But they did.Also just me finding an excuse to write Riki ot7 angst, that somehow ended up being nearly 40k words💀
