So now here he was. He'd left the living room and was barreling around the kitchen and the dining room, taking tight turns as his paws thudded hard against the ground, ears flapping atop his head as his tongue lolled out of his mouth. It was just so fun running around like this and once he got going there was really no stopping himself.
Except, he took one corner just a little too tightly. His side bumped into the leg of the dining room table and he was knocked over with a huff, whimpering slightly at the pain in his side from the impact. But he would very soon find out that there were bigger problems.
OR: puppy hybrid seungmin gets the zoomies and ends up hurting his paw. he's not very happy about the vet visit that his boyfriends insist on

Aka the opposite of startling so bad his phone almost ends up flung to the floor and it doesn't for the sole fact that Felix catches it, fingers overlapping on Seungmin's, with what is an obvious evil cackle. Seungmin sends him an unimpressed glare.

He stared at Felix’s face for a while, trying to read his expression again, in that way he always did, but Felix just trained his eyes on the ceiling, refusing to budge. When Seungmin did speak, his voice was very low, and he chose his words carefully. “Why would I think that?”

Hyunjin brushes with death, injury and trauma every day without knowing and Seungmin is tired of trying to prevent it. Having Hyunjin suddenly looking after him instead was not something he ever expected to happen but he can't say he minds the role reversal.

Felix finally looks up from his phone and at Seungmin; his eyes soften almost immediately. Depthless and warm, his thin brows pulled up like he’s helpless and small in Seungmin’s very gentle hold. Like he needs Seungmin there. Like he needs Seungmin to take care of him.
“There’s no stress to get everything today and if it gets too much we can cut the shopping trip short and get ice cream, okay?” he whispers the words and hears them reach his own ears too loud and too clear. Seungmin knows what he sounds like, he recognises this voice he uses with Felix and has been using with Felix for years. Hyunjin made fun of him about it at one point. You sound like a smitten boyfriend, he said, laughed in Seungmin’s face as he frowned and then tried his hardest to not think the word, to forget it, to push it aside. Just an abstract idea. Not even a concept, not real at all.
Seungmin and Felix go to Ikea.

Series: Heartbeats Accelerating“So it's just us?” Changbin asks, giving Seungmin a look of uncertainty. “Just the two of us?”
Seungmin shrugs again - he doesn't know what Changbin wants to hear from him. If he could back out of or postpone this trip he would have already done so.
“Only you and me,” Changbin keeps going. “On this drive.”
“Shut up,” Seungmin mumbles, shaking head and marching off to the passenger side of the car. “This is for Hyunjin.”
“For Hyunjin,” Changbin echoes as he slides into the driver's seat. “Right.”
