Hood grunts. He wraps the fabric quickly, tying off the end so closely to an eyebolt on the stage floor that Tim can’t, quite, fully straighten like this. With the band wrapped from his wrists to the end of his fingers, he also won’t be able to pick at the knot with his hands. That’s fine. His plan requires him to be alone with the alpha. He’ll pick his time.
“Yeah, that’s good,” Hood praises firmly. Tim wishes he didn’t react to it, that he didn’t have a weakness for praise, but a small part of him perks up from the focused anxiety to preen at the comment. I’m pathetic. Hood only rubs another hand over Tim’s hair and turns back to Jack with a final, “Good boy, baby bird. I’ll be back to collect you in a minute.”

Summary
Growing up under the subjugation of Robotnik’s steel dystopia, you have to get your freedom however you can. For Sonic the Hedgehog? It’s through his music and traveling what’s left of the world outside of the Robotnik Republic’s reach. With his siblings, Sonia and Manic, they’ve formed a rock band called “The Underground” and tour the territories still on the fringes of freedom.
One day, their van breaks down near an outpost in the middle of nowhere, where the triplets are approached by a two-tailed fox kit who claims he can help them fix it. All he needs are a few parts and a lift to the next town. As they learn more about this strange kid and where he came from, Sonic, Sonia, and Manic find themselves as targets of Robotnik in his attempts to catch the fox and claim the technology he’s been working on for himself.
The technology in question? A way to travel between realities.

"Nothing was happening," Tails grumbles a bit too gloomy for his brother not to notice.
"I can tell by your gleeful demeanor," Sonic retorts.
"Do you even know what those words mean?" Tails asks and rolls his eyes.
"I know a lot of words, I know all of them, actually," Sonic responds and uses his upper body strength to sit up without moving his legs. The hedgehog grabs one of the fox's tails and starts running his fingers through it. Tails only flinches a little when the hedgehog's thumb brushes over the scar at the base, "But that's not the point, you've been acting off ever since you and the kiddos had that talk. They were being nice to you, right?"

Summary
When Sonic causes the collapse of his own timeline, it rebirths into a new universe, one that at first may look the same, but turns out to be very different in many ways. People are different, events have changed, and perhaps second chances at love are possible for those who had never gotten a chance.
This new universe entirely rebuilds Sonic's backstory, and other characters stories, revolving around found family, sacrifices, crushes and fixing stories in the Sonic Game Universe to a accetable rate with a side salad of Sonadow.
The goal of this story is to build a Universe which does contain Sonic and Shadow getting together eventually, but not in the forced manner, but more in a way that would make sense and fit if things were to change. However, this is not the stories only focus.
