“You kept complaining about my boxers. Figured you wouldn’t hate these as much,” Neil explains, shoving his pants off and kicking them away. He adjusts the sole decorative garter on his right thigh, chiffon over an elastic band. “I bought them for you.”

"He probably doesn't even realize he needs rescuing, though, right? Like, that's how abusive relationships work. Andrew dragged his thumb across Neil’s teeth, and just as expected, came to a sharp point where his usual baby fangs were. His blank look deepened into a frown as he tugged Neil’s mouth open and pressed his thumb down on his tongue now, drool gathering around his finger as he investigated Neil’s soft pink mouth and the sharp little weapons within.

There is no mistaking the anger in that hardened tone.
OR where a past relationship with an abusive ex leaves Xie Lian demanding punishments even when he’s done nothing wrong. Hua Cheng is going to fix that.

Jean scoffs. “You cannot be serious.”
“He’s…” What is Kevin? Not any better at telling Riko ‘no’ than Jean is, and, subsequently, probably not great at lying to him. Also, is it really believable that Kevin would jeopardize the team and their athletic careers by shitting where he eats? Probably not. Kevin’s amended hierarchy of needs just has the word EXY at the base. Somewhere far above that are pedestrian concerns like ‘food’ and ‘water’ and ‘shelter.’

Se colocasse alguma coisa depois, como Je t’aime bien, já não era a mesma coisa. Ich liebe dich, em alemão, não é dito para qualquer pessoa sem causar uma situação constrangedora, mas havia o ich lieb dich. Era apenas uma palavra, mas o contexto, a intensidade, ou até mesmo uma letra a menos a mudava completamente. Porque não era a palavra que transformava o sentimento, era ele que a esticava e a moldava enquanto ela falhava em capturá-lo.
