The Villains

Summary:

Even if Ranboo has never met the two villains terrorizing the new town he moved to for…reasons. It doesn’t take a while to figure how exactly what’s going on.

And how fucking stupid the hero’s are. Or how smart the Villains are.

Villain AU.

Notes:

YES I am still writing my DBH au, I haven’t forgotten, I’m just hyper focused on Villains rn.

Don’t worry, I can update both.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Meeting

Chapter Text

Ranboo, a half-Enderman, with the power to teleport, telepathy,  telekinesis, and shapeshift from human to hybrid whenever he wants. When in hybrid form, he can use all of his powers. He grows at least 5 inches, his eyes glow purple and his skin warps and changes to half-black and half white. He calls his hybrid side, ‘The Enderwalk’. He’s got many weaknesses, the biggest one being water, especially in his hybrid state. He tries to avoid it in his human state.

Tubbo, a hornet hybrid, with the power to fly/hover. He’s got poison strong enough to take out an adult horse, he’s extremely flexible, and can control swarms of wasps with his mind alone, they follow his every move like soldiers. He’s also extremely intelligent, creating and powering mechanics and weapons. He, too, has a weakness to water and anti-bug chemicals.

Tommy, a cat-like hybrid, while his powers are limited, he’s still got them. While he’s incredibly stealthy and quick with his hands, he’s also got immense strength and quick reflexes. People often mistake him for a raccoon. But that’s on purpose because Tommy finds it cooler than a cat.

Tubbo and Tommy are the best of friends, while Tubbo works in repairs, whether it’s auto or something else, Tommy works as a tailor in sewing and creating clothing. Ranboo, however, has never met the other two. Ranboo worked with jewelry and metals, he also worked with weapons. Of course, they all worked hard for the pay they earned.

Of course, Tubbo and Tommy had secret lives. Throughout the day, they were loved by their community, seen as some of the hardest workers people had seen. But by night, they were feared villains, terrorizing their little town with wide grins on their faces. No one could figure out why these two villains would hurt their small town, and the villain duo gave no answers.

At night, Tubbo was called the Hornet, and Tommy was called the Raccoon, which, again, was funny because he wasn’t a raccoon. Either way, they were two of the best villains. And the heroes of the city had no idea how to catch them, since Tommy was the main stunt guy and did most of the heists while Tubbo mainly worked on the hacking and the getaways.

When Ranboo came to town and started under a mentor, Technoblade, for metal work. He’d been working under him for about a month. That’s when he meant Tubbo for the first time. The dirty blond greeted Ranboo kindly, Technoblade was out for a few hours.

“Is Technoblade in?” Tubbo asked, and Ranboo shook his head.

“No, he has to head out for a few hours,” Ranboo said, “Is there something I can do for you or leave a message for him?” Ranboo asked.

“Well. I need some advice on something I want to build, but I know nothing about metals and really anything about that, I work more with electric things,” Tubbo chuckled.

“Well, what’re you trying to build?” Ranboo asked, and Tubbo explained a weapon that he’d wanted to build, expecting Ranboo to question what he would need such a weapon for.

“Oh, that’s actually pretty easy to put together,” Ranboo mumbled, “Do you have blueprints for it?” He asked.

“Um, not with me, but yeah,” Tubbo nodded. “I just wanted to know if it could be done, technically. Techno does a lot of weapon work for me.”

“Well it can most definitely be done,” Ranboo chuckled. “Technoblade actually found me through my weapon work, so if you need anything and he happens not to be here, I’m willing to help, no questions asked,” He promised.

“No questions?” Tubbo grinned, and Ranboo chuckled.

“I’ve worked for many people, I’ve learned not to ask questions,” Ranboo promised.

“I think we’re going to be seeing a lot of each other,” Tubbo said, holding his hand out. “Tubbo,” He said.

“Ranboo,” The taller male responded, shaking his hand firmly.

“Tommy~!” Tubbo sang as he walked into their underground area just outside of the city. It looked like nothing above ground, just some random outhouse in the middle of a field that went down into an underground bunker. There were many ways out of said bunker to get into the city, and a garage hidden behind Tommy’s main clothing store that connected to the bunker, but also to Tommy’s living quarters, which were underground as well beneath his shop, so it wasn’t suspicious as to why there was a garage there. They rarely used that exit for the bunker, because it was connected to Tommy home.

“What?” Tommy called, spinning around in his chair in the main area, a technically advice looking place, with computers and big screens watching the city, those were there when Tubbo first found the place, he just upgraded them and got them all working. Most of the technology stuff was found in the bunker, and just upgraded.

“I think we found ourselves a new weaponry man,” Tubbo chuckled, “Remember how I told you Techno’s becoming comfortable with us?” Tubbo asked, and Tommy nodded.

“Bit too close?” Tommy asked.

“Exactly, and we just can’t have that,” Tubbo chuckled, sitting down next to Tommy and pulling himself up to a computer, typing in a name. ‘Ranboo Beloved’.

“The hell is a Ranboo Beloved?” Tommy asked, pulling a leg up onto his chair.

Ranboo came up on the computer, “Our new weapons man,” Tubbo smirked, popping a piece of gum into his mouth. “Look,” He said, pulling up a file. “Look at the shit he’s made!”

Tubbo clicked through different types of weapons, guns, knives, explosives???

“He’s a metal worker, which is useful because we need better suits and shit,” Tubbo hummed.

“Hey, the suits are fine,” Tommy defended.

“They look fine, yes, but they’re wearing down, Tommy. Especially in the armored parts, we need upgrades,” He hummed. “Also, he said he can build that gun you wanted.”

“The fucking ray?” Tommy grinned.

“Mhm, he can build the base of it, while I do the mechanical and shit,” Tubbo hummed, spinning in his chair, “He’s got no criminal record, that the cops and heroes know of at least.”

“He’s a good guy?” Tommy sneered.

“He can’t be,” Tubbo said, giving Tommy a knowing look. “The smirk he gave me at Techno’s shop? He’s had to have worked with people like us before. Plus, he said any weaponry we needed, he could probably build. No questions asked,” Tubbo explained.

“He’s had to’ve worked with villains before,” Tommy agreed. “No one does that shit without working with the bad guys.”

“And, he’s working under Technoblade,” Tubbo grinned, “or, ya know, that fucking pig,” Tubbo snorts, pulling Technoblades file up. “Which means, he can get info on the heroes…”

“Are you plotting to bring in a new guy?” Tommy asked.

“No…more of a…partnership with an unknowing partner,” Tubbo said. “We get weapons, maybe a little vague information?” Tubbo grinned.

“That can be beneficial, but also risky. What if he’s working for the heroes?” Tommy asked.

“Like I said, he doesn’t ask questions, and I don’t answer them. What’s he gonna learn?” Tubbo asked.

“That fact that potential weapons he made for you are now being used by villains,” Tommy said. “You’re a mechanic and computer guy, not a weaponsmith.”

“We’ll cross the bridge if we get to it, after all, we’re loved by the public,” Tubbo smirked. “You really think they’re gonna believe their darling techie kid and tailor are the villains terrorizing the city?”

“Let’s hope they don’t figure it out, we’ve been smart enough so far,” Tommy mumbled.

“Yeah yeah, now, about those new suits,” Tubbo hummed, and Tommy huffed, before taking over the computer.

Ranboo sat in his apartment, twirling a knife around in his fingers, listening to the radio. He glanced outside, seeing cop cars flashing and racing past, he looked down at the city, grinning when he noticed one of the biggest banks had just been robbed.

A male in a yellow and black jacket and pants with a blue shirt, yellow glasses, a headset on, with black marks on his cheek flew up past his window, and pincers around his mouth, landing in the fire escape in front of it.

Ranboo stared at him, something deep within him started to hum, and he stopped spinning his weapon as the villain looked at him. Ranboo quirked and eyebrow. The other tilted his head, and tapped on the glass.

Ranboo, stupidly, opened it.

The villain crawled in, just in time as a light flashed over, noticing Ranboo but not the villain, and moved on. Ranboo glanced at the bug-looking male now standing in his home.

“You just helped a villain,” It croaked, buzzing with each word, his voice nothing Ranboo had ever heard before.

“Not my place to stop you from what you're doing. However, you may want to leave. A hero does live right below me, and will probably be coming up here to check on me,” Ranboo warned.

“And you won’t turn me in?” Hornet asked.

“Who am I to stop someone making a living?” Ranboo hummed, spinning the knife in his hands, before throwing it at the wall, directly into a poster of the heroes, into the head of one of them. Dream, the best hero in the city.

“Besides, they like a challenge,” Ranboo hummed.

“You don’t like them?” Hornet asked.

“You should leave,” Ranboo said, hearing footsteps, “The Warrior is coming,” He said.

Hornet buzzed, glaring at the door as it busted open and he jumped out of the room. Ranboo moved aside as the warriors, Technoblade, ran and stood at the window. Hornet flew away, being followed by someone on the roofs.

“Are you hurt?” Warrior asked, and Ranboo shook his head, glanced at the poster behind the hero, he forced the blade in Dreams mask to fall, before focusing back on the warrior, who didn’t seem to notice the blade dropping.

“I’m fine, Techno. But you lost them,” Ranboo said, looking out of the window.

“We’ll get them, sooner or later,” Technoblade said, taking his mask off.

“You keep saying that,” Ranboo said, looking at Technoblade again.

“Why is your window open, anyway?” Technoblade asked, looking at Ranboo.

“I opened it for fresh air, I get claustrophobic,” Ranboo lied, “I went to get water, and there he is.”

Technoblade hummed, before something went off in his ear, catching his attention. “I’ve got to go, be safe,” Technoblade grumbled, slipping his mask on again. “And close your window.”

“Will do!” Ranboo called, watching as the hero left his apartment. “Have fun on your wild goose chase,” He mumbled, closing his window.

Tubbo and Tommy laughed as they reached the main part of the bunker, throwing the bagged money on a table. “Fuckin hell! I’ve missed robbing banks, dude!” Tommy laughed, opening the sack and pulling out stacks of hundreds.

“Honestly, it’s the one thing we do together anymore,” Tubbo agreed, pulling some money out as well. “And, the city goes into turmoil, and we get rich.”

“Mhm, by the way, where did you disappear to? When you were being chased?” Tommy asked.

“Paid a little visit to Ranboo, on accident, actually,” Tubbo hummed, grabbing a soda. “Landed on an apartment fire escape, and he lived at the window. He let me in as the heli scanned the area.”

“He hid you?” Tommy asked, in slight disbelief.

“Mhm, and he knew Warrior was coming up, Techno, and basically provided me a way out,” Tubbo said. “Oh, and he despises Dream.”

“What did you two talk about?” Tommy asked, obvious shock on his face as Tubbo tossed him a soda, Tommy knew better than to open it right away.

“Well, nothing much, I just witnessed him expertly throw a knife into a poster with Dream on it, straight in the middle of the fuckers head, without looking, so I’m assuming he hates the man. Which is fair, because I do as well,” Tubbo chuckled.

“So, what does this mean?” Tommy asked.

“He’s definitely not, a good guy,” Tubbo grinned, “And he’s got a past that is oh so intriguing, especially if he knows one of the hero’s personally.”

“Gain information?”

“Alway, gain information,” Tubbo grinned.
