David Adamson was sitting in homeroom before classes started. His friend Vincent Ardeleanu walked over to the table David was sitting at.
“Hey, David. Check it out,” Vincent said and pointed to the blue necktie he was wearing.
“Oh, so you took my suggestion to try and add a little variety to your outfits,” David commented with a smile. Vincent’s outfits always consisted of a white dress shirt with a black necktie and black dress pants. This was the first time David had seen him with a different colour necktie.
“Yeah, I decided to try a little something different every once in a while. But I don’t want to make too drastic a change just yet,” Vincent stated. He might try a different colour necktie or a different colour dress shirt, but not both at the same time. That was too much of a change for him.
“Ah, well, it’s a start,” David said with a shrug.
Later, at lunch, David had finished his meal and was putting stuff away in his locker when he was approached by Vincent. “Ah, there you are,” the vampire said. David turned around to see Vincent was sporting a lab coat, safety glasses, and a medical mask. David knew what that meant.
“H-hey there, Vincent. Working on science experiments again?” David asked a little apprehensively. Often, he had found himself as the test subject for said experiments as Vincent was really keen on learning all he could scientifically about the human species and David was the only one at school.
“You bet! I’ve just been itching to do some experiments while wearing my cool new tie,” Vincent said with a beaming grin under his medical mask as he pointed to his blue necktie. Only Vincent could get that excited about a necktie, David thought.
“I see, and you’ve been looking for me, I take it,” David sighed. He then found Vincent’s arm wrapped around his shoulders.
“You know me well,” the science-loving vampire said with glee as he led his friend and test subject down to the science lab.
“So, uh, what experiments were you planning on doing?” David asked nervously.
“You know, I haven’t decided yet. I guess it will be whichever idea comes to me first,” Vincent replied, “I’m just in such an excited mood.”
“Oh…isn’t that gre-HURK!” David started before finding himself swiftly hauled into the science lab where Vincent already had a whole bunch of things set up. The vampire wanted to get started as soon as possible.
Once they were in the science lab, David was seated in the usual chair he found himself in for his friend’s experiments. Vincent put on a pair of latex gloves, then started his experiments with a series of electric shock tests.
