Summary
At 9 am on April 16, 2020, there was a simultaneous biological riot around the world. Pets everywhere started undergoing a series of changes, showing signs of not only being capable of speaking the human language, but could also willingly shift into humanoid forms with a high degree of success. These beings were given the name of the Evolutionary species.
Amongst the select few diligent pet owners who successfully raised Evolutionary species, there was a certain man. Kim Dokja, 31 years old, former overworked salaryman and current proud owner of a successful and flourishing business, his very own Cat Cafe: Kim Dokja’s Company.
Or at least that’s how it was supposed to be.
Alternatively: Kim Dokja wakes up after a two year long coma to find that the cats he left behind were... not quite as he left them.

Summary
The gray in Yoo Joonghyuk’s hair shimmers with moonlight as the stars twinkle in their excitement and whisper in glee. Kim Dokja smiles, listening to their eager voices chattering amongst themselves, and watches from on high as Yoo Joonghyuk lifts his eyes skyward, searching for a single Star among its children.
His heart warms something bittersweet when he feels Yoo Joonghyuk's gaze. His chest swells, as always, with emotions that he's long accepted but cannot say. He feels that warmth seep through and drop down below his sternum, filling out his lower ribs and settling in the bottom lobes of his lungs.
Unable to profess his love, Kim Dokja takes the stars that fall from his lips and hangs them in the sky for his dear protagonist.

Summary
Chu Wanning is the victim of a strange affliction. The cure is impossible for him to consider.
The memory of those days that could never return- of his disciple that would never return- increases the strange feeling in his chest, and before Chu Wanning can catch his breath, a sickening cough tears out from between his lips, and the strange taste grows in intensity.
Chu Wanning realizes that it is the taste of blood mingled with something else, something floral that is strange and foreign to sense coming from within his own body, and he finds himself bent over his qin, coughing up blood.
There he sees it for the first time, laid out on the strings and covered in the blood he had just expelled from his body.
A petal.
The fresh blood that covers it makes it hard to decipher its colors, tainting it with a shocking red gloss, but as Chu Wanning carefully picks it up between trembling fingers, he realizes that it’s white, with a faint touch of pink- a haitang petal.
The sick dread in the pit of his stomach tells him that it came from his own body. And he knows, somehow, that it heralds his own death.
