Summary
When Astrotrain is arrested at 18 and convicted of murder, his life seems pretty grim and the path pretty narrow; there's a noose waiting for him, and he doesn't know when. Laying track until the day he dies, he's surprised to meet both a kind-hearted attorney and a predatory gangster- who are chasing each other's leads. Across the sea, Blitzwing has just been identified as a terrorist and needs a quick way out of Poland before eating firing-squad lead. In a turn neither expected, they both wind up sharing a shack on the rail yard, and life goes on from there. The American dream and second chances happen in Chicago, Illinois, 1922.
All characters will have human names, identities, and origins, which can be discerned from them easily- if not, feel free to ask for clarification. Art will be posted about them.

Summary
After the tragic death of Optimus Prime, Earth collapses under Decepticon rule.
