For his part, Harry Potter, at first overjoyed to have his mother back alive, begins to chafe under her authority and worry she has feelings for the teacher he so despises.

After a dramatic summer, Harry vows to focus on Dumbledore’s lessons, not his mother’s love life. Try as he might, he cannot ignore Snape’s increasingly suspicious behavior: covering for Malfoy, pathetically fawning over Lily, and pretending he doesn’t hate Harry. Lily throws herself into teaching and recruitment efforts but frets over Severus and his refusal to disclose the details of the burden Dumbledore has placed on his shoulders.
