One night I was reading American Werewolves at like 4am, got bored because I didn't have WiFi, and decided to write about one of my own werebeasts. Recently I decided to finish up that draft and share it with the world as part of The Stolen Avatar's expansive AU lore.
Many full moons ago, the first Guest challenged the Almighty to a staring contest and won a curse that infected any future opponents of his. Decades later, local nerd Leo is trying to keep a secret at school that could land him in the Hadal Blacksite- but with love in the forest and the moon in his eyes, the King of the Watch begs to be seen.
This fic is also a writing style experiment; The prologue is an attempt at imitating American Werewolves' writing style, while the main story is my first attempt at incorporating song lyrics into my writing (does this count as a songfic?).
