Summary
Peter is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Or more literally, he's stuck between the will of ten other teenagers and the knowledge that if anyone finds out he's living with the Avengers he can kiss his normal high school life goodbye. Can he keep it a secret from his classmates that he's living with the world's loudest superheroes? And can he keep it a secret from the Avengers that he's accidentally bringing his classmates home for a field trip?
And once he starts hiding things, keeping secrets, and lying, will he be able to stop?

Dean is silent for a long, tense moment, then he gruffly says, "It's not for banishing the angels. It's to summon them. So, it doesn't—it's not to get rid of 'em, but to draw 'em in."
Mitzi can't help but glance up at him at that. His voice is so heavy with so much unexplained pain, and she doesn't understand why, or what angels have to do with it. She knows religion can impact people. She's very aware that it can get complicated, and that it can be a huge source of pain for someone, but Dean sounds grievously wronged, somehow, as if it's a truly personal thing.
She pushes through, focusing back on her job, clearing her throat before murmuring, "Well, I guess we all want angels to visit us sometimes."
"Just the one," Dean mumbles.
"Your guardian angel?" Mitzi asks.
Dean breathes out, "Something like that. As close to one as an angel will ever get."

I've had this as an externally linked bookmark since 2019; I hadn't realized it was posted here as well! So now I'm replacing my old bookmark with this one and adding the original description I had attached to it:
This is incredible, and it gets better every time I read it. It's heartbreaking and mysterious and passionate and adventurous and wonderful and just makes me feel all the emotions. The plot and characterizations are complex and interesting and believable. There's a sequel that's even more complex, but this fic works as a standalone as well and I love it.

Summary
Louis never wanted a soulmate, didn’t really care for the whole Bonding thing at all, really. Enter Harry Styles, who’s wanted to be Bonded for as long as he could remember. With one fateful meeting in an X Factor bathroom, Louis gets a dagger on his arm and the realization that just because Harry is his soulmate doesn’t mean it’s mutual.
From the X Factor house to Madison Square Garden, from the Fountain Studios stage to stadiums across the world, Louis has to learn to love without losing himself completely, because someday his best friend will Bond to someone and replace Louis as the center of his universe. Meanwhile, Harry begins to think that maybe fate doesn’t actually know what it’s doing after all, because his other half has clearly been right in front of him the whole time. All he has to do now is convince Louis to give them a chance.
Or, the canon compliant Harry and Louis love story from the very beginning, where the only difference is that the love between them is literally written on their skin, and there’s only so much they can hide.

I like this whole series, I really do. I remember having read it years ago, but it wasn't nearly as angsty as I had recalled, and the entire thing is wroth reading. But this part is my favorite. It can be read alone and still be understood, but I just really enjoy it. It's kind of outsider POV and it has Zutara with completely oblivious Sokka and just makes me smile.

This is the first time I've ever read Soul Marks being used this way, and I love it. It's as close to canon as possible, and does an incredible job portraying the relationships, feelings, and personalities of the characters. This is a concept that feels like it really could have fit in the original show.
