Summary
There is a boy with a red ribbon in his hair, with fire and valour in his heart. At the end of the story, he dies (repeat ad infinitum).
There is a boy with(out) a blue ribbon. He is made of broken glass; bleeding edges and distorted reflections. He holds love in his chest, he holds love like a bullet lodged in his chest. The ink on his contract is dry– but his fingers drip black; stained from rewriting the fates of others. At the end of the world he stands in the water and says– my soul, my body, my mind, but not my heart.
There is a valorous boy in a red ribbon. He is a puppet on a string. He is the gear that turns the fates of others. If he makes a contract he’ll end the world. If he makes no contract the world will end. He stares across the water at a love he has no memory of. He stares up at the shattered sky. He stares into himself and says, swallow down your hesitation– what will you wish for?
(You can only repeat a story so many times)

Yanli's scent is flowery and round the way he remembers it, but now, with the addition of something sweeter, something warm and tempting, almost dreamlike.

Wei Ying is surrounded by the soothing smell of it, and he fills his lungs with Yanli, with comfort and safety. A sigh of contentment leaves him, and he peeks out from between his lashes. Wet spots have formed at the front of Yanli’s robes, concentrated around the peaks of her nipples, straining against the thin, silky fabric.
“Do you want it, A-Ying? Good boys can have as much as they want. You’re mommy's good boy, aren’t you?”
For Yanli, he would be the best.

Summary
It's 1954, and Lan Zhan's life would be going well if it wasn't for the charming Wei Ying. Did he say charming? He meant annyoing. If it wasn't for that smile Lan Zhan could accept the future planned for him, the job as Cheif Surgeon who returned home to a demure wife who'd cook him dinner and asking him about his day. Instead, he finds himself dreaming about something more.
