Summary
Noelle leads Kris into the lake, althrough she is thoroughly convinced that it is Kris telling her to do so. Deep down under the water she goes, spurred on by a single command, but when Kris's hands leave her and she begins to drown, she wakes up in a cave. Unknown to her, it's just the beginning of a long, long new route of tortute.
(This is one of my first uploaded stories ever. I hope I did good enough.)

Kris. They’d dragged her back up out of the waves, that glittering red heart in their chest giving them strength that shouldn’t be possible from a human. She’d told anyone who asked that they tripped and fell. Nobody really believed it, except for maybe Catty. Kris hadn’t changed as much as she thought they did.
Noelle's obsession with 'change' goes too far.

**CHAPTER 5 WEIRD ROUTE SPOILERS AHEAD**
Susie was the one who found them. Kris had been holding Noelle’s chin up, out of the water, and Susie would always swear Noelle was still alive for a heartbeat after bringing the duo ashore. A heartbeat, however, is only that. Days later, an investigative team arrive at Hometown and rub salt in the wound, claiming that all signs point to Kris being the perpetrator of this murder-suicide.
Although the lie was at first met with disbelief, it gradually began to infect the thoughts of Hometown’s residents like a plague. Susie can’t bring either of her companions back, but she can at least wipe the dust from Kris’ name, can’t she?
