Summary
Thomas has been having a time of it ever since he was bitten by an over-enthusiastic dog in the park one night. His roommate and his roommate's boyfriend keep insisting that he was bitten by a werewolf, but that has to be a prank, right? (Spoilers: it is not.)

Summary
To the greater masses of the galaxy, humans were seen freakish orc-like monsters in terms of intelligence and strength. They possessed peripheral vision, towered over most alien species and could consume deathly poisons, such as caffeine and chocolate. They were aggressive, baring their teeth and making direct eye contact when first approached. They could not speak Basic, chattering in nonsense screeches and shouts.
This perception was hardly helped by the fact that galaxy's first introduction to humans were ones that were abducted and trafficked by an alien empire that lived entirely on their space-faring vessels, drifting from one end of the galaxy to the other. Abused, traumatized humans who were desperate to escape and survive by any means possible. Or yearning to be understood, treated as a sapient being worthy of respect and recognition.
Janus was once the latter kind. Until he gave up any and all pretense to be understood and treated as anything but a wild creature, tamed through jolts of electricity and food deprivation.

Summary
It is all Patton's fault, truly. He wouldn't be in this predicament if Patton hadn't shuffled into the shared quarters of the mind-scape late one night, a sopping wet-eyed sniffling mess. Janus should've ignored him. All he'd wanted was to steal a jar of Logan's Crofters, leaving Logan to play detective the next morning and incorrectly deduce the culprit as Roman.
Yet it had been three days since Patton emerged from his room and it was his responsibility to care for these such things. It has been his responsibility ever since he squeezed a young Patton's hand in comfort and confidently declared, "No need to worry about it, Patty. I'll take care of all the bad things to ensure Thomas doesn't have to think about them. That can be my job."

Summary
Virgil's encounter with three real life werewolves left him feeling half-convinced it had to be the concoction of some fever dream. But as a former foster kid who aged out of the system with little to nothing but the clothes on his back, he has bigger things to worry about than werewolves. Like, how he was going to survive on a minimum wage for starters.
When his friend Remy presents him with a new job opportunity, his first gut instinct was to refuse it. And you know what they say about gut instincts...

Summary
Logan was a god, once. Technically he was still a god, but that depended on how one defined a god. If the definition was “a powerful supernatural entity worshipped for their domination over nature and humanity” then such a definition no longer applied to him.
There was indeed a time that Logan exemplified it. He was the Knowledge-Bringer, The All-Knowing One. He was the god that mortals sought out for wisdom and knowledge. Prayers and offerings flowed as steadily as the twin rivers of Romulus.
Yet the twin rivers of Romulus had long since dried up and so had Logan’s powers. Or at least they had, until one night a sleep-deprived university student called upon his aid out of sheer desperation.

Summary
“Shh,” Janus murmured as he approached the now-sobbing child, “You’ve been so brave and I’m proud of you. But that’s enough now. It was cruel of them to make you fight me–you never could have won. It’s not your fault.”
His gentle words and calm composure betrayed none of the roiling anger beneath it all. Anger not at the child, but at the so-called gods who continually sent teenagers and now a child (one of their own, even) to fight their own battles.

Summary
"He wanted to cry hysterically. He wanted to howl. He was going to die, and all the mugger would receive for his efforts was a $5 dollar bill and a debit card to an empty bank account."
Virgil’s just one of many kids who aged out of the foster care system. He was kicked out of the foster house with little to nothing to his name yet expected to be a functioning member of society. He makes enough just to get by working at a fast food restaurant with the manager from hell.
In a rush to get home after a bad day at work, he takes a short-cut through an alleyway and his day goes from bad to worse when he's confronted by a mugger.
Fortunately, he is rescued by a werewolf who happened to be passing by. Unfortunately said werewolf decides he needs protecting and wants Virgil to be a part of their pack.

Summary
Sometimes, Patton forgets that he's more than just Thomas’ Heart and Feelings–he’s also Morality. It’s his job to know how to guide Thomas on the right path to take in life. Yet, with each new dilemma Thomas faces, Patton finds himself more and more adrift on what is the “right” thing. It hasn't helped that every year Thomas grows older, it also grows harder to figure out what constitutes right from wrong. Even the simpler things, like putting others' needs before one's own needs.
Obviously Thomas should be putting others before himself, but there lies several complications in that. Is doing good deeds for others for the sake of feeling good a bad thing? Or what if Thomas has to put one person first over another? Is it possible for Thomas to be selfless or is every action inherently selfish to some degree?
He doesn't know. The only one who might know is a certain charlatan snake who has a lot to say regarding all that and more.

Summary
When Satine starts throwing up in the morning, she dismisses it as her illness of the month. Satine has never been the peak of Mandalorian health. Her immune system has always taken harder hits than most, and it is one of the many reasons her opponents have used against her ascend to ruler of the houses. But it goes longer than it should, and when she is finally persuaded to see a medical droid, it appears to be something far more drastic.
