This fic is very suave and sweet; the regency courtship rules and standings are in effect, but loosely. Bond makes for a lovely, experienced, and mysterious neighbour to the Boothroyd family, and Q honestly has no clue what's going on ever with anyone including himself. Bond is quite polite in this one, all things considered. While it sneaks up to its "E" rating, I'd give it more of a high "M".

The premise of this fic isn't funny, but I still expected it to be funny in the way of "sometimes I still hear his voice..." "stop telling people I'm dead!" In some ways it is, but it was more about how you can grieve the living; mourning the loss of a feeling or time in the same way you can mourn a passed loved one. The poor Centaurs aren't just dumb hockey boys, Ilya doesn't mean to be misleading, and they all just want to be the best support they can.

The way the author approached Kakashi's foray into fatherhood was really unique; lots of different POVs and just the slightest nudge off of canon for everyone. There's a lot of focus on PTSD and living with grief, balanced by the good old Naruto optimism. The action is really well written, the family feels are feral, and each character has their own motivations and fears. -

There might be something to these regency themed things. This story was cute, and had it's steamy moments, and it's silly boys being martyrs moments, but overall it was a bunch of mid-20s rich kids having a mixer. I have no clue how the author came up with all the international court politics and lordships, but they did a good job of including canon characters without it getting overwhelming.

The misunderstandings of how exactly Jane Dutch is related to the hockey world is a funny ongoing bit. I cannot imagine the level of emotion involved when Shane realises his mother has read his smutty fics; absolutely mortifying. -

This fic was amazing in how it balanced jokes and quips with honest depictions of depression and PTSD. It is definitely a fix-it fic, with the idyllic happy ending that implies, but it also tackles the violence and shitty people inherent to canon. I think the author did a great job of tackling the topics with authenticity and didn't shy away from the sorrow that comes from knowing what could have been.

It is doubtlessly true that Shikamaru Nara is excessively lazy. However, it is also true that he is extremely devoted to those who have earned it.
Despite knowing this fact, it's not until he's managed to land himself in the middle of leading the reconstruction of their city that Shikamaru realizes just what lengths he's willing to go for Naruto's heart.
But exhausting as it is, he finds he doesn't mind— especially if it lets him finally find the strength he needs confess his feelings for the other man.
Aka: Shikamaru finds his motivation, and it's shaped a lot like a certain jinchūriki.

Mentally renaming this fic "Shikamaru's 1000 Step Plan to Woo a Man"
Shikamaru goes through an obsession motivated decision to set aside the work-smarter-not-harder mentality for an unrelenting drive towards hyper-competence. I loved how the author portrayed all of the friendships within the Rookie generation, and also expanded the civilian/shinobi interactions.
This fic is a lot of project planning and pining, but also has training montages, friendly hangouts, and a fun beat-down tournament. -

This fic goes through its storyline at a fairly brisk pace. Lan Xichen is especially obsessively and manipulative in this one, but not as smart as Jin Guangyao. Huaisang still does his own behind the scenes spy work and gets to have his revenge. It's a happy ending, but it still takes 13 years to resolve. Lan Zhan is a bit more verbose, and willing to make friends, and he and Wei Ying had already figured out their feelings back in the murder cave in this universe. Lan Qiren gets a redemption arc, ending in him being very depressed, very apologetic, and committed to Lan Zhan's family, even Wei Ying. Their is some death and dismemberment, but the action tends to be swiftly finished whenever Lan Zhan pops in.

“You heard me,” he retorted, his tone clipped. “He’s not your teammate anymore; he’s mine. If you think Marlow is a problem to your game, wait until you see what I will do to your team if you hurt anyone on mine again.”
Hayden scoffed, dipping his head as he tried to focus on the game. Something about Ilya’s words still rang through his head though, sounding so definitive that he didn’t want to risk seeing what he was actually referring to when he said that.
The puck dropped again, and Ilya stole it before he could comprehend how quickly it happened.

Orochimaru and the Akatsuki linger in the background, but Naruto’s not letting them ruin his life by a stupid war to feed the ego of a dead man. Again, that is.

This time travel fic is pretty low intensity all things considered. Naruto is a little OP and drags everyone up with him. There are some interesting timeline changes seeded into it, lots more confidence in many of the characters, and if the series ever gets completed it will be fascinating to see where it goes. The ships tagged are really just some mild flirting for these kids.
