Meng Yao caught Jin Zixuan’s mournful glance toward the daughter of the Jiang Sect, as well as her own sad glance a moment after. He ground his teeth. Of course this could be easily solved by proceeding with the original marriage alliance, but Jiang Wanyin would not put his sister in that position, and Meng Yao knew that with the Jiang Sect’s downfall, Jin Guangshan no longer wanted his heir tied to them.
