The tension in the crowd morphed instantly into sheer, unadulterated surprise.
“Is that… Bakugou?” Kirishima muttered, his eyes wide enough to pop out of his skull. A half-eaten skewer dangled from his fingertips. Gasps filled the air, rippling through the Dekusquad and the Bakusquad alike.
Bakugou’s fierce demeanor seemed tempered this time; he appeared soft, his usual scowl hidden behind a thin mask of worry. He was dressed not in his intimidating hero gear, but in a loose, comfortable black henley and soft sweatpants, a stark contrast to the explosive teenager they all remembered.
The little boys, oblivious to their mother’s worries, hit the grass and immediately tried to toddle away. Their little legs were still unsteady, their steps wobbly and chaotic. Bakugou’s heart leapt into his throat—a feeling he had grown accustomed to over the last two years. He was terrified they would trip over a rogue tree root or a stray rock.
Taking a deep breath to steel himself against the staring eyes of his former classmates, Bakugou started walking briskly after the babies.

And she knew obsession in the way she controlled the uncontrollable, bending the wild, untamed force to her will, wielding it as no other of her people had ever dared to. As even the sky people, who believed they had mastered its power, couldn't.
But this woman, this Neytiri, had ignited a different kind of flame within her, an obsession equally consuming and dangerous.
